Happy Friday!

If you’ve ever been to New Orleans there’s a good chance you’ve heard of or perhaps passed a little known museum called the Pharmacy Museum.

Established in 1823 by America’s first licensed pharmacist, Louis J. Dufilho, Jr., the museum is located in the heart of the French Quarter. On your educational tour, you can take a step back into history and see the types of medicine used by pharmacists during the day. Inside you will find a rare soda fountain between hundreds of apothecary jars containing all sorts of unique medicinal purposes.  There’s a wonderful patio in the back that has even been featured on the newest season of American Horror Story.

I encourage you to come back on Monday, and learn more of how the museum is a living legacy to the fields of pharmacy and medicine.

Until then,

Kate.
