                                                       April 29 – May 9, 2019

April 29 – Depart Los Angeles for Paris. Plan to dress comfortably as you relax on your overnight flight.

April 30 – Upon arrival in Paris, we’ll be met by our local guide who will take us on a city tour prior to hotel check-in. We’ll see iconic monuments such as the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Champs Élysées, and Notre Dame cathedral.

May 1 – We’ll start our first full day in Paris with a guided visit to the wonderful Musée d’Orsay*.

May 3 – We leave Paris briefly for an excursion to Giverny*, a lovely Normandy village where Claude Monet worked and lived from 1883 until his death in 1926. While in this quaint village, we will explore the artist’s home and gardens, where you will recognize the ponds and gardens that inspired such works as his famed Water Lily series. Upon our return to Paris, you may choose to ascend the Eiffel Tower and enjoy an unparalleled view of Paris by night (free to those who submit their application and deposit by the deadline).

May 5 – Once again, we leave Paris by train to visit the newly opened Musée Camille Claudel, returning in the afternoon.

Other group visits include the Pompidou Center, Picasso Museum, and the Musée Marmottan Monet. Since you’ll have a Museum Pass and a Metro Pass, when there is no group visit scheduled you can visit museums that fit your specific interests. Dr. McCredie will be available to provide assistance and advice on individual projects as well as accompanied visits for those who prefer not to explore on their own. Possible visits include the, Musée de l’Orangerie, l’Espace Dali, l’Espace Brancusi and the Musée Rodin, home to The Thinker and his monumental Gates of Hell.

May 9 – We return to the United States with deepened cultural and global understanding, , fond memories, and perhaps a souvenir or two!
