Florida Southern College tour of Geneva and Milan

Saturday, October 14th

Today you depart the United States on your overnight flight to Europe.  Naturally, meals will be served and optional in-flight entertainment offered.  Please refer to your flight schedule for pertinent details.

 

Sunday, October 15th

Upon arrival in Geneva, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.  Following check-in you will explore the city with your tour leader.  Points of interest that you will see include Jet d’eau and the Reformation Wall.  Dinner tonight is included.

 

Monday, October 16th

Following breakfast, you will depart (using public transportation) for your appointment at The World Health Organization scheduled for 10:00 AM.  In the afternoon you will visit  The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria at 2:00 PM followed by your guided visit to the Palais des Nations (United Nations) scheduled for 4:00 PM.

 

Tuesday, October 17th

This morning you will visit The Natural History Museum of Geneva.  Of special interest will be Louis Jurine’s famous collections of Hymenoptera, Coleoptera, Lepidoptera and Hemiptera.  In the afternoon you will visit the International Committee of the Red Cross from 2:00 until 4:30 followed by a visit to the Red Cross Museum.

 

Wednesday, October 18th

A morning visit to the Council of Health Research for Development is planned.  In the afternoon you have a 1:30 PM appointment with Medecins Sans Frontieres before visiting the Musee Barbier-Mueller.  A fondue dinner is included tonight.

 

Thursday, October 19th

Your morning is free before departing by train to Milan.  Following hotel check-in you will enjoy your included dinner.

 

Friday, October 20th

A guided walking tour is scheduled in the morning that will include the Duomo and Tower.  In the afternoon you will visit the La Scala Opera House.  A farewell dinner is planned for tonight.

 

Saturday, October 21st

At 7:30 AM you depart for the airport to board your connecting flight to Tampa.
