RTCA/Thanksgiving/NY

New York City is one of the most populous metropolitan areas in the world.  Many districts and landmarks have become well known to the approximately 50 million annual visitors.  Times Square, iconized as the “Crossroads of the World,” is the brightly illuminated hub of the Broadway District, one of the world’s biggest pedestrian intersections, and a major center of the world’s entertainment industry.  The city hosts many world renowned bridges, skyscrapers and parks.  New York City’s financial district, anchored by Wall Street in Lower Manhattan, functions as the financial capital of the world and is home to the New York Stock Exchange, the world’s largest stock exchange. This tour will trace some of the notable sights of New York City’s history and culture.

 

You will depart on November 25th to spend four wonderful days discovering the history and culture of New York City.  Excursions to historical sites and fabulous shopping make this trip a once in a lifetime experience.  Bring these amazing memories home with you on November 28th.

 

Please submit your online application and $500 deposit to eatours.com by August 15th, 2015.  You will be invoiced for remaining payments as follows:  $500 due by September 15th and the final payment will be due October 15th.

November 25th

On November 25th you will arrive in New York City. Upon arrival you will transfer to the hotel and drop your bags. After dinner your first evening in the Big Apple will culminate with a Christmas Spectacular at Radio City including performances by the famous Rockettes!

 

November 26th

Begin today participating in a memorable American tradition which began in 1924 by attending the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade*.   You will spend the morning marveling at this 3 hour procession of parade floats, balloons, marching bands, celebrity appearances and much more.  This afternoon a visit is planned to the 9/11 Memorial*, built to honor and remember those killed in the terrorists attacks on September 11, 2001.   Tonight after dinner you will get a chance to view the city from Top of the Rock in the Rockefeller Center*.  A highlight of this evening will be Ice Skating* in Rockefeller Center.

 

November 27th

In the morning you will enjoy a ferry ride to Staten Island*.  While on the ferry you may see some fabulous views of the Statue of Liberty, representing Libertas, the Roman goddess of Freedom.  You will enjoy a guided walking tour* to discover the popular sites of this formidable island.  This afternoon your guided sightseeing tour introduces you to such sights as Central Park, Battery Park, Wall Street, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral and much more. The rest of the afternoon will be dedicated to visiting one of the most famous art museums in New York, the Metropolitan Museum of Art*.  This evening you will enjoy a Broadway play such as Jersey Boys, (or similar pending availability).

 

November 28th

You will depart for the airport this morning for your flight home, bringing with you memories, souvenirs, and a deeper pride and appreciation for all New York City offered us.
