Amsterdam & The Hague

June 7th

Upon arrival on you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the city*.Built on a network of centuries-old canals, Amsterdam is a delightful city. The largest and most cosmopolitan city of the Netherlands, it is also the diamond-cutting capital of the world.

June 8th

A visit to the Anne Frank House is planned today. This historic home is where Anne Frank took refuge during the Nazi invasion of World War II and wrote her famous diary. You will also explore the city’s incredible museums including the Rijksmuseum*, considered one of the top three art museums in the world and home to Rembrandt’s “Nightwatch”. You may also wish to visit the Van Gogh Museum. The museum’s collection is the largest collection of Van Gogh’s paintings and drawings in the world. This afternoon dedicate time to discovering such fascinating sights as the Flower Market, Dam Square and Rembrandt Square, last minute sightseeing and shopping.

June 9th

Today begins with a train ride to The Hague* for a full day excursion. 150 international organizations are located in the city, including the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.  It is the seat of the Dutch Government and parliament, the Supreme Court, and the Council of the State, but the city is not the capital of the Netherlands which is constitutionally Amsterdam. This evening you will return to Amsterdam for your final night in the Netherlands before flying to Bergen, Norway tomorrow.

Bergen

June 10th

Upon arrival in Bergen you will enjoy a walking tour* of this ancient city after checking into your hotel. Bergen is known as the gateway to the Fjords. The vistas are a spectacular sight.

June 11th

You will embark on a full day excursion* to the Sognefjord, Norway’s longest and deepest fjord, which extends more than 200 km inland to the foot of the Jotunheimen mountains. This area is said to be one of the most beautiful travel destinations in the world. Your trip will combine a beautiful boat journey on the Sognefjord, with a spectacular train journey on the Flåm Railway. Tomorrow morning you will continue your adventure to St. Petersburg, Russia.

St. Petersburg & Moscow

June 12th

Today you will board for your flight to St. Petersburg, Russia. This evening explore St. Petersburg with your tour leader after checking into your hotel.

June 13th

This morning your guided city tour* will include a visit to the Hermitage*. The evening is reserved for sightseeing with tour leader.

June 14th

The highlight of your day will be a tour of Peterhof & Catherine Palace and Park*.

June 15th

You will board a high speed train to Moscow this morning. Upon arrival you will enjoy a guided city tour*, en-route to your Hotel.

June 16th

Dedicate today to visits to Red Square and the Changing of the Guard, Stalin’s Tomb, St. Basil’s*, the Kremlin* and Gum’s Department Store are planned.

June 17th

Stops along Moscow’s famous subway art tour are on tap for today. After visiting other area points of interest with your tour leader your Russian adventure will culminate with a farewell dinner tonight.

June 18th

Return home today taking with you fond memories of your incredible journey through The Netherlands, Norway and Russia.

The cost of any VISA required for entry to a foreign country is NOT included in the tour price and is the sole responsibility of the participant to procure.  A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $735.00. A guaranteed twin room may be available for a supplemental charge of $300.00 per person. Included are estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees.  If applicable, tax increases will be billed on a supplemental invoice. A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour. All tour participants must submit a signed application.  A $2000.00 initial deposit* is due no later than September 30, 2015 and will reserve your space on this tour (initial deposit fully refundable if tour does not operate).
