Paris & Versailles

May 30th – June 2nd

On your first day in Paris, May 30th, you will enjoy a guided panorama tour of the city* enroute to your hotel, viewing such famous landmarks as the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, and the Place de la Concorde. The next morning, May 31st, you will visit the Louvre* (world’s largest art museum), housing such legends as the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory and the Mona Lisa. In the afternoon you will explore the charm of this city with your tour leader to discover such sights as Notre Dame, Musee d’ Orsay, Invalides, and much more. Later this evening, you will enjoy a thrilling ascent to the second level of the Eiffel Tower*. On June 1st, an excursion is planned outside of Paris to the Palace of Versailles*, once the home of King Louis XIV, the “Sun King”. Dedicate this afternoon at leisure to discovering such sights as Sacre Coeur, Montmartre and Place du Tertre allowing time for last minute sightseeing, shopping for souvenirs or delighting in Parisian Boulevards and cafes before departing to Avignon the following morning. This evening you may optionally choose to enjoy a Seine River Cruise (free to those who submit their application and deposit by the deadline) and enjoy Paris by night! Bid farewell to Paris on June 2nd as you continue your adventure to Avignon via a high speed train.

Avignon & Nice

June 2nd – June 6th

Upon arrival to Avignon on June 2nd you will enjoy a guided tour of the city* including the Palais des Papes* before transferring to your hotel for check in. Begin June 3rd with an excursion to Nimes to visit the Amphitheatre* on your guided tour of the city*. Before returning to Avignon you will visit the Pont du Guard*, an ancient Roman aqueduct which is a marvel of engineering built over 2000 years ago. This evening you will explore local points of interest with your tour leader. Bid farewell to Avignon as you travel to Nice on June 4th. A special visit is planned along the way to Cassis where you enjoy a boat cruise through the Calanques*. This afternoon you will arrive in Nice, the unofficial capital of the French Riviera. Nice is a vibrant, important city boasting France’s third largest airport, a major university, several museums and the most scenic beach in France. On June 5th you will begin with a guided walking tour of the city*. The famous seaside boulevard, lined with majestic palms, incredible shops and some of the world’s most exclusive hotels, offers remarkable outdoor cafes and people-watching. Nice is home to many celebrities and stars; don’t be surprised by whom you might see. The rest of the afternoon is dedicated at leisure to discover the ambience of the city or explore its famous beaches. Nice is the perfect spot to rest and relax during your European sojourn. On June 6th you will return to the United States with fond memories, amazing experiences and perhaps a souvenir or two from your European adventure.

 

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The estimated tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $4,290.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the standard estimated non-discounted price is $4,390.00.  Tour participation is based on triple occupancy and includes roundtrip airfare from Tallahassee, point-to point transportation between cities while in Europe, all breakfasts and 4 dinners. *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk are included in the tour price are the Louvre, Versailles, Eiffel Tower (second level), Palais des Papes, Pont du Guard, Nimes Amphitheatre, boat cruise in Cassis, and city tours in Paris, Avignon, Nimes and Nice) and may be subject to availability. Additional items may be offered optionally, are also subject to availability and are not included in the tour price.  A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $445.00. A guaranteed twin room may be available for a supplemental charge of $85.00 per person. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees. If applicable, tax increases will be billed on a supplemental invoice. A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour. All tour participants must submit a signed application.  A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is required and will reserve your space on this tour.
