Saturday, March 12- Day 1
Today you depart Washington, D.C. on your overnight flight to Rome, naturally meals will be served and optional in-flight entertainment will be offered. Please refer to your flight schedule for pertinent details.
Sunday, March 13-Day 2
Upon arrival in Rome you will transfer to your hotel for checking. This evening’s dinner is included. After dinner you may enjoy a visit to the iconic Trevi Fountain.
Monday, March 14- Day 3
Begin today with a guided city tour including the Colosseum and Forum. Later this afternoon enjoy a visit to the Capitoline Museum and the Pantheon. Later this evening enjoy exploring such sights as the Spanish Steps and Piazza di Spagna.
Tuesday, March 15- Day 4
This morning you will enjoy a guided tour of the Vatican Museums including St. Peter’s Basilicaand Sistine Chapel. This afternoon you will visit the Catacombs, after a scenic ride on the Via Appia Antica. This evening a highlight of your stay will be a Pizza cooking class and dinner.
Wednesday, March 16- Day 5
Today is dedicated to sightseeing with tour leader to such sights as Circus Maximus and Pizza Navona. You may optionally wish to visit such sights as San Pietro in Vincoli, Castle Sant Angelo, theTemple of Minerva, or other area points of interest such as Roman Emperors tombs and much more.
Thursday, March 17- Day 6
Depart Rome to travel to Sorrento with a visit to Naples Archeological Museum en-route. Spend this evening exploring area points of interest in the beautiful town of Sorrento with your tour leader. Dinner included.
Friday, March 18-Day 7
Return to Rome with a guided visit to Pompeii and Herculaneum en-route.
Saturday, March 19- Day 8
Dedicate today to an excursion to Tivoli to visit two of Hadrian’s Villas before returning to Rome. A farewell dinner at Da Pancrazio is planned (free to those who submit their application and deposit by the deadline).
Sunday, March 20- Day 9
This morning you will depart your hotel to visit Ostia Antica, Rome’s ancient seaport, en-route to the airport for your return afternoon flight to the USA.
