Edinburgh

March 20- 23, 2016

Upon your arrival in Edinburgh on March 20th you will visit Roslyn Chapel*, whose construction began in 1456 and is considered to be among the finest architecture in Scotland. On March 21st you will have a chance to get the lay of this historically rich area during your guided city tour*. This timeless citadel is home to spectacular medieval architecture set against the rugged Scottish countryside, and plays host to a colorful local history. One of the highlights of the tour will be a visit to the stoic Edinburgh Castle*. This afternoon you will enjoy visiting The Royal Yacht Britannia* (pending availability) with some time at leisure afterwards for exploring museums or shopping along such avenues as the Royal Mile or on Princes Street. On March 22nd the planned day excursion includes a visit St. Andrews* with optional time to explore St. Andrew’s Castle and the town University before continuing to the scenic Stirling Castle*.

London, Bath & Stonehenge

March 23-26, 2016

On March 23rd you will travel to London on a morning flight. London is a brilliant city which offers pageantry, history, creative arts and some of the planet’s best shopping. Dedicate this afternoon to exploring area points of interest with your tour leader including Trafalgar Square, Covent Gardens, the British Museum, the British Library, National Gallery, Piccadilly Circus and much more. On your first evening in the city perhaps you will take a ride on the London Eye (complimentary to those who return their applications and deposits by June 30, 2015). The next day, March 24th, will delight you with a guided city tour* including a visit to Westminster Abbey*, and a panoramic tour of such sites as Parliament, Buckingham Palace and Big Ben.  This afternoon a visit is scheduled to the Tower of London* where the beefeaters tell tall tales and you may view the fabulous Crown Jewels. Afterwards you may optionally enjoy having tea at Fortnum and Mason’s, or sightseeing with your tour leader. March 25th is dedicated to an excursion to Stonehenge and Bath!! Stonehenge*, an ancient arrangement of huge stones and earth, has baffled archaeologists for years. Later today, upon arrival to Bath, enjoy sightseeing including visits to the Roman Baths and Pump rooms*. During your exploration of the elegant city of Bath, admire its Georgian splendor including the famous Royal Crescent, a beautiful avenue of stone houses arranged in a graceful half-moon shape. This evening you will return to London to enjoy an evening at leisure where you may optionally enjoy a theatre performance, shopping at Harrods or visiting one of the numerous churches and museums. On March 26th you will bid London a fond farewell as you travel to Paris on the Chunnel!

Paris

March 26-29, 2016

On March 26th, your first day in Paris, you will enjoy a guided panorama tour of the city* en-route to your hotel, viewing such famous landmarks as the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, and the Place de la Concorde. This evening will culminate in a Seine River Cruise*! The next morning, March 27th you will visit the Louvre* (world’s largest art museum), housing such legends as the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory and the Mona Lisa. This afternoon you may wish to explore Paris with your tour leader visiting such optional sites as Notre Dame, Musee d’ Orsay, Invalides, and much more. Later this evening, you will enjoy a thrilling ascent of the second level of the Eiffel Tower*. Dedicate March 28th at leisure to discovering such sights as Sacre Coeur, Montmartre and Place du Tertre with your tour leader allowing time for last minute sightseeing, shopping for souvenirs or delighting in Parisian Boulevards and cafes. On March 29th you will return to the United States with fond memories, amazing experiences and perhaps a souvenir or two from your European adventure.
