ROME
July 17th – July 20th
After departing New York on July 17th, you will arrive to Rome the following day. Upon your arrival on July 18th you will be welcomed with a guided city tour* en route to your hotel. Rome the “Eternal City” and capital of Italy, is a magnificent city built on seven hills, and is literally layered with history, one civilization built on top of another. Twenty-First century Rome is a breathtaking mixture of ruins and monuments, fantastic fountains, beautiful piazzas and innumerable museums. On July 19th, your journey continues with a guided visit to the Vatican Museums*, where you will have a chance to view religious relics and treasures accumulated over the centuries. You will also have the opportunity to visit the gorgeous Sistine Chapel, painted by the illustrious Michelangelo, and explore the ever-important St. Peter’s Basilica. The afternoon is dedicated to visiting such sights as the Colosseum*, Forum*, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and more with your tour leader.

ASSISI & FLORENCE
July 20th – July 22nd
In the morning of July 20th you will bid Rome a farewell and travel to Assisi*, home of St. Francis, who influenced the life and works of Saint Angela after she became a tertiary of St. Francis in 1492. That afternoon you will arrive in the city of Florence. As the Birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence is sure to delight with its artistic and cultural treasures. On July 21st enjoy a guided tour* of the city. The magnificent Duomo, eclectic Ponte Vecchio and more all await you on Florence’s historic streets. Also included is a visit to the Academia*, where one of Italy’s most impressive Renaissance collections can be found. The jewel of this museum would most certainly be Michelangelo’s “David”, a massive and iconic statue of the Biblical hero. The afternoon will be centered on sightseeing with your tour leader.

DESENZANO & BRESCIA
July 22nd – July 24th
Your personal pilgrimage continues on July 22nd when you depart Florence for Desenzano and Brescia. Prior to your overnight in Brescia, you will enjoy a visit to Desenzano, the birthplace of Saint Angela Merici, foundress of The Ursuline School. July 23rd is dedicated to visiting the focal points of your pilgrimage in Brescia, where Saint Angela made her home and continued her work devoting her life to the religious training of young women.

VENICE
July 24th – July 25th
Venice is the next stop on your Italian sojourn. Upon your arrival, on July 24th you will embark upon a guided tour* of this amazing floating city. With 118 islands, 160 canals and 400 bridges, this seaside outpost offers all kinds of incredibly unique experiences. Walk through St. Mark’s square, gaze upon the massive Bell Tower and perhaps explore the mysteries of the colorful Doge’s Palace. Marvel at the picturesque canals and numerous cathedrals. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a gondola ride (free for those who submitted their deposit and application by November 15th 2014). This evening you will enjoy a Venetian farewell dinner marking the perfect end to your Italian travels. On July 25th board a plane bound for home with new memories, exciting adventures, and a deeper spiritual understanding of the exalted Saint Angela.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $3,895.00; otherwise, the standard non-discounted price is $3,995.00. Tour participation is based on twin occupancy and includes roundtrip airfare from New York point-to point transportation between cities while in Italy, all breakfasts and 5 dinners. *Entrance fees and/or transportation to (Vatican Museums, Colosseum, Academia, and visit to Assisi and city tours in Rome, Florence and Venice) marked with an asterisk, and are included in the tour price, while other items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability, and are not included in the tour price.
