Happy Halloween from all of us here at EA Tours!

Today, I'll be bringing you part 2 of the top destinations to celebrate this spooky holiday. If you missed part 1 feel free to check it out here.

Shall we get started?!

New Orleans, Louisiana.

New Orleans itself is always a great place to visit not just on Halloween. From voodoo shops to ghost tours in the French Quarter there’s no shortage of eerie things to do on your educational tour. You can even tour the nearby Manchac Swamp by torchlight. How cool is that? With Spanish moss hanging in abundance from numerous trees to tales of hundreds of people dying in a tidal wave, Manchac Swamp has earned the title “The Haunted Swamp.”

Oaxaca, Mexico.

Every Halloween, the streets of Oaxaca fill to capacity to celebrate Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead. Following Aztec and Mayan legends, families visit the graves of their loved ones to pay their respects, clean the area, and offer food. The streets come alive with costumes, flowers, skulls, and skeletons for this lively celebration.

Sleepy Hollow, New York.

Having become even more popular with the newest drama Sleepy Hollow on FOX, the town was the setting for one of America’s most iconic ghost stories, Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. On your student tour, take some time to visit the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery where the author is buried. A stop at the Old Dutch Burying Ground, one of the oldest cemeteries in the United States is also great.
