On your next educational tour to France plan a stop at Saint Denis Basilica Cathedral.
This grand cathedral is near Paris, and is the royal necropolis to the Kings of France. It is also the first monumental masterpiece of Gothic art. It’s hard to believe that it’s widely glossed over by guidebooks, but the trip out there is incredibly worth it! Students and educators will enjoy learning the history of the cathedral, and marveling at the numerous tombs and breathtaking stained glass windows.
