Happy Friday travelers!

Considered one of the greatest military strategists, Napoleon I rose to prominence during the latter years of the French Revolution.

For this week’s photo I wanted to share with you his grandiose tomb that lies under the golden dome at Les Invalides. Having taken a class on Napoleon at university, I was beyond thrilled when I had the opportunity to visit this magnificent museum.

If you’re planning your next educational student tour to France, be sure to include a visit to his final resting place. You won’t regret it!
