Located in the heart of Rome, the Vatican is its own operating country and home to Catholicism. While many know of St. Peter’s Basilica, did you know that the Vatican is also home to the Vatican Museums?
Extremely popular for educational tours, the Vatican Museums allow you to get up close and personal with some of the most famous works of art in the world! Ever since the Renaissance, various Popes have built up the collections which now comprise the biggest museum complex in the world.
Quite impressive if I may say so!
Inside, students and teachers will discover the Pinacoteca (Picture Gallery), Pio-clementino Museum, Stanze (Raphael Rooms), and conclude with the renowned Sistine Chapel before making their way into St. Peter’s.
