Happy Friday!

My family and I arrived into Rome a few days before the group so we could have a little vacation time and recover from jet lag. We stayed in the neighborhood of Palazzo Barberini which is just a short walk from the Fontana di Trevi.

We searched out new museums to visit and stumbled across the National Gallery of Ancient Art. I can’t believe I had never been here before! The exterior is utterly gorgeous, and I wanted to share it with you for this week’s photo.

A perfect place to visit on an educational student tour, the Gallery is home to some wonderful masterpieces. With paintings by Raphael, Caravaggio, Bernini, and Canaletto the museum is fitting for history and art enthusiasts.

I invite you to come back on Monday as I share the history of the building and how the museum cam to be.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Kate.
