Houston/Galveston

October 17, 2024

On October 17th, you will depart Memphis aboard your flight for Houston. Your private motor coach will be waiting to take you to the Space Center Houston * upon your arrival. Here is where earth meets the stars with an out of this world exploration of over 400 space artifacts and historical human space flight exhibitions. You then will get a firsthand experience of campus life at Texas A&M University, Galveston* beginning with lunch*. Your campus tour will include a close look at the campus Sea Life Facility dedicated to the research and education of marine and aquatic organisms. You will partake in a live crabbing* adventure before departing for Dinner* and your hotel check in.

October 18, 2024

This morning you will begin your day with an A&M Sea Camp Salt Marsh and Estuarine Ecology trip*, wading through salt marshes observing natural creatures of the marsh. Then explore over 360 species of sharks with a hands-on exhibit with the Sharks* presentation. Lunch* will be on campus before your Sea Turtle Biology and Nesting Ecology Presentation learning about the 7 threatened and endangered sea turtle species. Then participate in a hands-on exploration of the Oyster Reef Ecology* and study the importance of oyster restoration. You will then enjoy the evening with dinner* and amusement at Pleasure Pier Amusement Park*.

October 19, 2024

Today you will explore all Moody Gardens* has to offer beginning with the Aquarium Pyramid*, a 1.5-million-gallon aquarium showcasing the oceans of the world. Then experience a display of real preserved humans to learn about organs, muscles, and the nervous system at the Body World Rx* exhibit. After lunch*, you will have an interactive experience at the Rainforest Pyramid* with otters, monkeys, sloths, and Amazonian birds! Weather permitting you will have an opportunity to zipline* and test your strength on the Sky trail Ropes Course*. Catch a show at the 4D theatre before boarding the Colonel Paddlewheel boat for a cruise to view the Offats Bay and Dinner*.

October 20, 2024

Today you will take adventure in a 4-hour kayak trip* along Galveston Bay with Artist Boat. Situated on 810 conservation acreage, promoting awareness and preservation to Galveston’s coastal and marine environment. Before boarding your flight home, you will have the opportunity to explore the beaches and shop for souvenirs, taking home a lifetime of memories with you.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: The tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $1685.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the $1685.00 tour price is subject to a 3% credit fee additional fee, which is estimated to be $50.00. You are allowed to use a credit card for your initial $500. deposit.  The tour price is based on four persons to a room and includes round-trip airline transportation from Memphis, TN, hotel accommodations, 3 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 4 dinners, sightseeing, entrance fees if required and private motor-coach transportation. Sightseeing visits INCLUDE guide and entrance fees (if applicable) to Space Center Houston, Texas A&M Galveston Campus, Sea Camp Activities with Texas A&M, Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens attractions, and Artist Kayak Experience. Please note that all above-mentioned scheduled activities are subject to change or cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e., availability, weather, traffic, etc.). A minimum number of paying tour participants, travelling together, may be required for the tour offering to remain valid. The applicable tour conditions are listed on the online application. There is a $500 non-refundable (FOR ANY REASON) deposit due to be eligible for the trip. The $500 deposit is due July 1, 2024. The final payment is due no later than August 30, 2024, for which you will be invoiced.

The waiver and release of liability as listed below is in addition to those already stated on the Tour Conditions of the official tour participant Application and Participation Agreement.

 

By paying the initial NON-REFUNDABLE FOR ANY REASON deposit and/or subsequent payments, it is understood that participation in the Bayou Academy trip to Houton/Galveston is voluntary. Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended for which EA Tours will be sending you information. It is further acknowledged that as a Tour Participant, I am aware of the risks and dangers associated with travel because of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and have knowingly chosen to accept and assume all such associated risks and dangers. It is further understood that, if in the event a participant contracts COVID-19, or any other illness, prior to departure and are unable to travel on the prescribed trip, they are still subject to the tour conditions and refund policy as stated in the online Application and Participation Agreement. It is further agreed to release, waive, covenant not to sue, hold harmless and forever discharge Voyager Travel, Inc., dba EA Tours, its officials, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liabilities, claims, damages, losses, expenses, injuries, or other harms, whether known or unknown, resulting from or related to participation in the Tour, its activities, or the associated travel. It is further agreed to indemnify and hold Voyager Travel, Inc. dba EA Tours, its employees, agents, and representatives harmless from and against any and all liabilities, claims, damages, losses, expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorneys’ fees and other litigation costs and expenses), injuries, or other harms incurred as a result of any claims or suits that (or anyone claiming by, under, or through me) may be brought to recover any liabilities, claims, damages, losses, expenses, injuries, or other harms that arise during or as a result of my participation in the Tour, its activities, or the associated travel. It is expressly agreed and understood that this Voluntary Release and Waiver of Liability is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Florida. Additionally, by making any payments (whatsoever), it is acknowledged that these conditions have been carefully read and that this is a Voluntary Release and Waiver of Liability.
