On April 28, you will arrive at our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. Your private motor coach and tour leader will meet you on arrival at the airport taking you to the U.S. National Arboretum. Enjoy a picturesque picnic lunch* and tour this popular garden. The Arboretum projects the aesthetic, environmental and economic importance of landscape and ornamental plants through its extensive 446 acres of gardens. From there, explore the Smithsonian Natural History Museum*. Some of the popular exhibits to be seen there include Dinosaurs, FossiLab and The Hope Diamond. Nearby, the Smithsonian Museum of American History offers exhibits such as the Star-Spangled Banner and Julia Child’s kitchen. Enjoy souvenir shopping followed by Dinner* at Ben’s Chili Bowl. Before closing the day, you will catch an exciting Washington National’s Baseball* game!

Start your day with a photo opportunity in front of the White House before going to the National Museum of African American History and Culture*, the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture. Before lunch* tour one of the seats of power in our nation, the US Capitol Building*. The Senate and the House of Representatives have met at the Capitol for over 200 years. Then, explore the National Archives* where you will view some of the most important documents in our nation’s history, including The Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and the Constitution. Take a gander at the National Portrait Gallery*, whose collections focuses on images of famous Americans and just around the corner lies the Smithsonian American Art Museum*, which holds one of the world’s largest and most inclusive collections of art, from the colonial period to the present. A visit to Ford’s Theatre* will showcase our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln’s presidency, assassination, and legacy before Dinner* at the legendary Hard Rock Café. Embrace a Moonlight Tour* of the memorials, including the Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Jefferson Memorials before night’s close.

Begin today by traversing to Arlington National Cemetery*, the final resting place for countless American heroes, witnessing the solemn Changing of the Guards Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Participate in an intimate Wreath Laying Ceremony, honoring the fallen. After lunch* explore the Wright 1903 Flyer and the Apollo 11 command module, Columbia at the Smithsonian Museum of Air and Space*. Next, you will experience a humbling visit to the Holocaust Museum*, both a touching and vivid reminder of those who were persecuted and a supplication against such inhumanity. After dinner* at the Pentagon Mall, you will visit the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial*, a permanent outdoor memorial to the victims in the building and on American Airlines Flight 77 during the September 11 attacks.
May 1, 2025
After breakfast, journey to Mount Vernon*, George Washington’s estate and final resting place. Your guide will direct you through Washington’s home, tomb and the many buildings which helped to run this large estate. Enjoy lunch* before departing for the airport and your flight home, taking with you your memories, souvenirs, and a deeper pride and appreciation for American History. Once home, your private motor coach will transport you back to school campus.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The projected price for this trip is $1895.00 per person. The estimated/projected tour price will be based on four persons to a room and will include round-trip airline transportation (subject to confirmation) from Atlanta, motor coach transport to and from school campus, hotel accommodations, 3 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 3 dinners, sightseeing, entrance fees if required and motor-coach transportation, where applicable. Sightseeing visits INCLUDE guide and entrance fees (if applicable) to United States Arboretum, Smithsonian Museums, Monuments, Washington National’s Baseball Game, White House Photo Op, US Capitol Tour, the National Archives, National Portrait Gallery, Ford’s Theatre, Memorial Tours, Arlington National Cemetery (including tram), Holocaust Museum, National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial, and Mount Vernon,. Please note that all above-mentioned scheduled activities are subject to change or cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e., availability, weather, traffic, etc.). A minimum number of paying tour participants, travelling together, may be required for the tour offering to remain valid. A guaranteed single occupancy room may be available for a supplemental charge. ROOM TYPE REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO EA TOURS. The applicable tour conditions are listed on the online application. There is a $250.00 non-refundable (FOR ANY REASON) deposit due to be eligible for the trip. The first installment of $500.00 will be due by November 21, 2024. The second $500.00 installment will be due by January 15, 2025. Final payment of $645.00 is due no later than February 28, 2025. If credit card payment is used after the initial deposit, a 3% credit card fee will be applied. Additional details will be supplied approximately 30 days before departure. Please note that additional tour conditions are stated on the Tour Participant Application. The waiver and release of liability as listed below is in addition to those already stated on the Tour Conditions of the official tour participant Application and Participation Agreement. By paying the initial NON-REFUNDABLE FOR ANY REASON deposit and/or subsequent payments, it is understood that participation in the Stratford Academy, Washington DC 2025 Tour is voluntary. Additionally, it is understood and acknowledged that participation in this Tour is not required. It is further acknowledged that as a Tour Participant, I am aware of the risks and dangers associated with travel as a result of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and have knowingly chosen to accept and assume all such associated risks and dangers. It is further understood that, if in the event a participant contracts COVID-19, or any other illness, prior to departure and are unable to travel on the prescribed trip, they are still subject to the tour conditions and refund policy as stated in the online Application and Participation Agreement. It is further agreed to release, waive, covenant not to sue, hold harmless and forever discharge Voyager Travel, Inc., dba EA Tours, its officials, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liabilities, claims, damages, losses, expenses, injuries, or other harms, whether known or unknown, resulting from or related to participation in the Tour, its activities, or the associated travel. It is further agreed to indemnify and hold Voyager Travel, Inc. dba EA Tours, its employees, agents, and representatives harmless from and against any and all liabilities, claims, damages, losses, expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorney; fees and other litigation costs and expenses), injuries, or other harms incurred as a result of any claims or suits that (or anyone claiming by, under, or through me) may be brought to recover any liabilities, claims, damages, losses, expenses, injuries, or other harms that arise during or as a result of my participation in the Tour, its activities, or the associated travel. It is expressly agreed and understood that this Voluntary Release and Waiver of Liability is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Florida and the State of Georgia. Additionally, by making any payments (whatsoever), it is acknowledged that these conditions have been carefully read and that this is a Voluntary Release and Waiver of Liability.
