On March 9th, you will depart from the USA to begin your Greek adventure, landing in the eternal city of Athens on March 10th and discovering the mysterious treasures of this city.  Exciting excursions, cultural encounters, preserved archaeological sites, delicious foods, and superb shopping make this trip both exciting and rewarding.

 

Athens

March 10, 2024

On March 10th, you will arrive in Athens to start your Greek journey.  Following your hotel check-in, you will take time for this sightseeing with your tour director.  This afternoon, you will enjoy a visit to Cape Sounion*, home of the Temple of Poseidon.  The present temple is built on the site of the older ruins among cliffs that tumble into the Aegean Sea.  Cape Sounion was ideally located for the worship of the powerful god of the sea Poseidon.  Situated directly on cliffs overlooking the sea, you will find the Temple of Poseidon located at Sounion, both exciting and fascinating.  Following your Temple of Poseidon visit, you will go to Athens for your first overnight and dinner following hotel check-in.

 

Olympia – Epidaurus – Mycenae – Nafplion – Delphi

March 11- 12, 2024

On March 11th, you will depart Athens for to begin your discovery of classical Greece.  Your visits to Olympia, Epidaurus, Mycenae, Nafplion and Delphi, with guided visits to the Theatre of Epidaurus*, the amazing Mycenae Archaeological site, and the ancient citadel of Agamemnon, will certainly be highlights of your adventure to Greece. Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games, is where you will visit the Olympia Museum*.  Following your visit to Olympia, you will travel to Delphi where you will explore the famous archaeological site of Delphi*.

 

Santorini

March 13 – 14, 2024

Bid farewell to Delphi on March 13th, as you return to Athens and connect to a flight to Santorini.  Once you have arrived in Santorini, you will transfer to your hotel, check in, and have the day free to yourself to explore.  On March 14th, you will have the entire day devoted to island sightseeing* with your tour director.  The island of Santorini will astound you with the amazing landscape and views.  It has to be one of the most scenic spots in the Greek Isles.   Naturally, you will have ample time for personal shopping and exploring this wonderful island and its main town / village of Thira.

Athens

March 15 – 17, 2024

On March 15th, you will depart Santorini and connect with your return flight to Athens to continue your Greek experience.  You will have this day free to explore. You will NOT want to miss exploring the numerous shops that line the many small streets of the famous area of Plaka.   On March 16th, you will spend the day sightseeing the historic sites including the Parthenon*, the museum* and other historic sites.   This night, you will enjoy a farewell traditional dinner.  On March 17th, you will return to the United States with fond memories, amazing experiences, and perhaps souvenirs from your Greek adventure.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The estimated tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $4,395.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the standard non-discounted price is $4,495.00.  If you wish to use a credit card for your initial deposit, you will be allowed to pay the remaining payments by check and still receive the discounted tour price. Trip price is based on triple occupancy and includes round trip airfare from Tampa, point-to-point transportation between cities while cities in Geecer, all breakfasts and 4 dinners.  Additionally, *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk as well as a city tour of Athens are included in the tour price. In the unlikely event that EA Tours cancels the tour and is unable to operate a substitute itinerary, the tour cost including the initial deposit is fully refundable. Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price.  A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $750.00.  A guaranteed twin room may be available for a supplemental charge of $500.00 per person. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees. If applicable, unforeseen tax increases will be billed on a supplemental invoice. A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour.

 

All participants must submit an online application and the initial non-refundable (FOR ANY REASON) $500.00 deposit is required. Your tour number is 224156.  A second payment of $1,000.00, will be billed and due no later than 30 days upon the receipt of your application submission and $500. deposit payment.  Final payments are due no later than ninety (90) days before departure. Updated tour details (hotels, day by day itinerary, flights, etc.) are scheduled to be released approximately four weeks prior to departure.  Please note:  This may not be an officially school sponsored program.
