Immerse yourself in the history of our nation’s capital, which will leave you with a deeper pride and understanding of American History. Museum encounters, memorial visits, and preserved historical sites make this trip exciting and rewarding. Bring these memories home with you on June 9th.

Upon your arrival to Washington, D.C. you will begin your exciting, patriotic adventure. Immediately upon arrival, you will proceed to the Smithsonian National Zoological Park*, one of the oldest zoos in the United States. Then travel by metro* to one of the highlights of your patriotic journey, the National Archives*, where you will view some of the most important documents in our nation’s history, including The Declaration of Independence. Continue your journey to the National Portrait Gallery and view portraits of the people who shaped the nation’s history, development, and culture. Dinner* to follow at a local restaurant.

Your day begins with a visit to Ford’s Theatre and Lincoln Center*, which will showcase the 16th President, Abraham Lincoln. You will continue to the Capitol Building* (pending availability). Enjoy lunch* before your tour of the Library of Congress* and the Supreme Court*. Next, visit the Museum of the Bible*, which documents the history, and impact of the Bible. Following dinner*, you will enjoy an evening visit to some of the many memorials dedicated to such patriots as Jefferson, FDR, and MLK.

Begin today with a visit to the Pentagon Memorial*, a permanent memorial dedicated to the victims of September 9/11. Then visit the Arlington National Cemetery*, a resting place for so many American heroes. Here, witness the solemn Changing of the Guards Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Following lunch*, you will explore the National Museum of African American History and Culture*, the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American history and culture. Next, you will visit the other nearby Smithsonian museums. Before dinner* enjoy the nation’s first collection of art that captures the dreams of the American people throughout three centuries at the Smithsonian Art Museum*.

After breakfast, you will make your way to the Marine Corps War Memorial*, also known as the Iwo Jima Memorial, followed by a stop in front of the White House for a fantastic photo opportunity. From there, you will stop for an outside view of the Washington Monument. Before lunch*, time will be dedicated to exploring the Smithsonian Museum of American History* and after, the Smithsonian Museum of Air & Space*. Prior to dinner*, engage in a hands-on experience at the International Spy Museum.

After breakfast, you will start your day with a visit to the National Museum of the American Indian*, where you will experience one of the world’s most expansive collections of Native artifacts. Your last major visit will take you to the Holocaust Memorial Museum*, both a touching and vivid reminder of those who suffered under the hands of the Nazis. After lunch*, you will depart for the airport and your flight home, taking along your memories and a deeper pride and appreciation for American history.

**The tour price of $1,970.00 is based on four persons to a room and includes round-trip airline transportation from Orlando, hotel accommodations, 4 breakfasts, 5 lunches and 4 dinners, sightseeing, metro card, entrance fees if required and motor-coach transportation, where applicable. Sightseeing visits INCLUDE entrance fees (if applicable) to the Smithsonian Zoo, National Archives, Ronald Reagan Building, Arlington Cemetery, Pentagon Memorial, Smithsonians, Memorials tour, Ford’s Theatre, US Capitol, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, Museum of the Bible, Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima), White House Photo Op, Washington Monument (outside view) and the Holocaust Memorial Museum. Please note that all above-mentioned scheduled activities are subject to change or cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e. availability, weather, traffic, etc.). In the event that planned activities, museum visits, etc. are closed due to Covid-19 and/or for any other reason, EA Tours reserves the right to substitute those planned activities with other venues, at their discretion. Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price. ROOM TYPE REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO EA TOURS. A guaranteed twin occupancy room may be available for a supplemental charge of $240.00 per person. A guaranteed single occupancy room may be available for a supplemental charge of $720.00 per person. Included are the estimated applicable governmental airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees. The applicable tour conditions are listed on the online application. A $300.00 non-refundable (for any reason) deposit is due by February 17, 2023 (subject to change if required, but not anticipated) to be eligible for the trip. A 2nd payment of 500.00 will be due March 15, 2023 (subject to change if required, but not anticipated). The final payment of $1170.00 will be due by April 15, 2023 (subject to change if required, but not anticipated). Additional details will be supplied approximately 30 days before departure. Please note that additional tour conditions are stated on the Tour Participant Application.
Final payments are due no later than April 15, 2023*. For any cancellation received from February 22, 2023*, up to and including March 15, 2023, a complete refund, minus a 40% cancellation penalty of the TOUR COST, will be issued. For any cancellation received from March 16, 2023, up to and including April 16, 2023, a complete refund, minus a 75% cancellation penalty of the TOUR COST, will be issued. For any cancellation received from April 17, 2023, up to and including June 5, 2023 (your departure date), the cancellation penalty is 100% of the tour cost. In the unlikely event that EA Tours (only) cancels the tour, the tour cost minus the initial $300. non-refundable deposit is refundable. EA Tours reserves the right, if required, to reschedule the trip dates. In the event the trip is rescheduled, tour cancellation rules as listed above still apply. Please note that additional tour conditions are stated on the Tour Participant Application. Tour cancellation rules as listed above (dated deadlines, penalties, etc.) supersede those listed on the Tour Participant Application and agreement.
