Amsterdam

October 26 – 27, 2022

On October 26th you will arrive in Amsterdam to begin your European adventure. Following hotel check in you will enjoy an afternoon visit the Rijksmuseum* followed by time to explore “Old Amsterdam” on your own. Built on a network of centuries-old canals, Amsterdam is a delightful city. The largest and most cosmopolitan city of the Netherlands, it is also the diamond-cutting capital of the world. A full day excursion to Delft* and Rotterdam* is scheduled for October 27th.

 

Holland and the Romantic Rhine Valley Cruise on the Symphonie

October 28 – November 2, 2022

On October 28th you will have a free day to discover Amsterdam. At 6:00 PM board your ship for a 6-night cruise (see itinerary below Special Tour Conditions) beginning with a welcome cocktail get-together, followed by an evening excursion of Amsterdam by Canal Boat Cruise*. On October 29th, begin today with a morning guided tour of Amsterdam*. Some points of interest that you may see are the Flower Market, Dam Square and Rembrandt Square and a visit to a diamond dealer*. This afternoon you will enjoy an excursion to the villages of Zaanse Schans* and Volendam*. Your ship will cruise to Cologne through the night.  An extra benefit while on the cruise includes wine, beer, soft drinks and open bar (excluding drinks from the special list) while on board the ship. October 30th you will have free time to explore the historic city of Cologne, where an afternoon guided walking city tour* is planned. Points of interest that you will see include the Cologne Cathedral*. Enjoy the gala evening and dinner onboard while you relax sailing to Rudesheim overnight.  October 31st your cruise ship offers an afternoon shore excursion which includes wine tasting* and the Museum of Mechanical Musical Instruments* by tourist train. Spend this evening in the famous Drosselgasse, world famous for its outdoor taverns. November 1st you will spend the day cruising the Rhine on your way to Strasbourg.  This evening you will enjoy an excursion to visit old Strasbourg by canal boat*. On November 2nd you depart the ship in Strasbourg after breakfast onboard.

Strasbourg and Paris

November 2 – 5, 2022

Upon disembarking on November 2nd, you will be met by your tour leader and enjoy a guided city tour* of Strasbourg before you travel to Paris, one of the most beautiful cities in the world! On November 3rd, enjoy a guided panoramic city tour* of Paris, where you will see famous landmarks such as the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees and Place de la Concord. Dedicate the afternoon to exploring the Masonic Museum*. An ascent of the Eiffel Tower* is planned for the evening. November 4th is a free day. Places you may choose to explore are the Louvre (the world’s largest art museum), housing such legends as the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory and the Mona Lisa, Sacre Coeur, or simply enjoying the ambience of the Parisian Boulevards. The following morning, November 5th, you will return to the United States with fond memories, amazing experiences and perhaps a souvenir or two from your European adventure.

Due to Covid related issues, the cruise portion of the tour is one day shorter than the originally scheduled cruise departure.  As a thank you for your support and dedication during this difficult time, EA Tours has purchased the Classic excursion package offered by the cruise line for each traveler. There are additional optional excursions which can be purchased upon arrival to the ship.

 

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **There are two different packages available, one including airfare and one excluding airfare. The tour price and package including airfare, if payments are made by cash or check, is $5,120.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the standard non-discounted price is $5,220.00. The Land Only package excluding airfare prices are $3,985.00 (paid by check) and if paying by credit card (non- discounted) is $4,085.00.  If you wish to use a credit card for your initial deposit, you will be allowed to pay the remaining payments by check and still receive the discounted tour price. Trip price is based on double occupancy and includes point-to point transportation between cities while in Europe, 5-night cruise on the Symphonie. Cabin level is not guaranteed and will be best available at the time you register. All breakfasts are included, 4 lunches and 5 dinners (all meals that are included are those on the cruise ship.) Additionally, *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk as well as city tours in Amsterdam, Cologne, Strasbourg, and Paris are included in the tour price as well as the Rijksmuseum, excursions to Delft and Rotterdam, canal boat cruise, diamond dealer visit, excursion to Zaanse Schans and Voldendam, Cologne Cathedral, wine tasting, Museum of Mechanical Musical Instruments, evening excursion Strasbourg by canal boat, Masonic Museum and Eiffel Tower. In the unlikely event that EA Tours cancels the tour and is unable to operate a substitute itinerary, the tour cost including the initial deposit is fully refundable. Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price. A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $1045.00. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees if choosing the air inclusive package. If applicable, unforeseen tax increases will be billed on a supplemental invoice. A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour.

A $500.00 non-refundable (for any reason) application fee / deposit is required to reserve your space on this tour. All tour participants must submit an online application.  Please go to “Student/Traveler Sign Up” on the home page at www.EAtours.com.  Your tour number is 223125 and must be entered on your online application. Very specific conditions relating to Covid 19 apply and are listed in the Tour Conditions of the online Participation Agreement and Application at eatours.com. PLEASE NOTE: At the time of the printing of this brochure, the Netherland government mandates that, in order to gain-entry into museums, shops/stores, historic sites, restaurants, etc., proof of full vaccination be shown.  As a result of this governmental regulation, in order to participate on this tour, all tour participants are required to be fully vaccinated. In addition, a negative COVID 19 test may be required prior to ANY trans-Atlantic flights. If the COVID 19 test requirement is still in effect before ANY trans-Atlantic flights, the test is at additional cost and is to be paid directly to the testing location by the tour participant.  EA Tours expects to assist with making-arrangements for the test but is not responsible for the payment.

A second payment of $1000.00, for which you will receive an invoice, will be due no later than 30 days from the date that EA Tours receives your initial payment and online application. Final payments are due no later than ninety (90) days before departure.

Updated tour details (hotels, day by day itinerary, flights, etc.) are scheduled to be released approximately four weeks prior to departure.  Please note:  This is not an officially school sponsored program.  Additional tour conditions apply and are listed in the Tour Conditions Section on the Online Application. Applicable items listed above may supersede those listed in the tour conditions section on the online application.
