Day 1 Monday, May 15, 2023
Kathy Shelledey and party (total 3 persons) arrive London and transfer via taxi (on own) or whatever is their choice to London city center to Copthorne Tara Hotel for overnight.
Day 2 Tuesday, May 16, 2023
Guggino Party (9 persons) arrive London Heathrow Airport on Delta flight 5921 at 1230 pm. Group will be met by a private mini-bus*( for transfer to London City Center to the Copthorne Tara Hotel. Afternoon devoted to afternoon City Tour* using the famous Hop On / Hop Off sightseeing company. Tickets and instructions/information to be provided prior to departure. Dinner* is included tonight (location to be advised).
Day 3 Wednesday, May 17, 2023
9 am departure from your hotel for a full-day guided excursion* on your private min-bus* to Stonehenge* and Salisbury Cathedral*. A mid to late afternoon return is scheduled (depending on London Traffic) to Copthorne Tara Hotel. Evening free to explore on your own.
Day 4 Thursday, May 18, 2023
9 am departure for a guided half day excursion* to visit the past home of King Henry VIII, Hampton Court Palace*. Following your visit to Hampton Court Palace you will continue with your guide for an afternoon visit / overview of the British Museum*. TIP: Be sure to not miss the Egyptian Collection – it’s amazing ! Following your visit to the British Museum you will return to your hotel to freshen up before going to dinner (included, location to be advised).
Day 5 Friday, May 19, 2023
9 am departure from your hotel for an interesting morning at the Tower of London*. TIP: A highlight of a visit to the Tower of London is to see the exhibition of the Crown Jewels, a magnificent collection of the official Royal jewels, crowns, scepters, etc. belonging a Trust for the Royal Family. The remainder of your afternoon is free for you to enjoy this amazing city. TIP: Two of London’s greatest shopping stores are Harrods in Knightsbridge and Fortnum and Mason, nearby to Piccadilly Circus. If you are a “Tea” enthusiast, you especially will not want to miss paying a visit to Fortnum and Masons. You will return to your hotel at approximately 1 p.m.
Day 6 Saturday, May 20, 2023
9 am departure with your guide and a private minibus to the famous Saturday (only) market called the Portobello Road Street Market*. Here you will see, what will seem like streets filled with endless stalls and vendors selling almost anything you can imagine. I’ve enjoyed visiting Portobello Road for many, many years. One visit, I found an old Spanish Piece of Eight that I paid $2.00 (US) for and then later discovered it was valued at over $300. Following 2 hours at Portobello Road, you will depart at approximately 11:15 am for Windsor Castle* and the charming village of Windsor. Here you will enjoy a tour of the Royal “Country” Residence of the Royal Family. It will certainly be a highlight of your trip.
You will round out your final day in London with High Tea*, which will certainly a special event for all!
Day 7 Sunday, May 21, 2023
11 am departure from your hotel by private mini-bus for London Heathrow Airport to connect with your return flight home.
