Sunday
April 9: Depart NYC on overnight flight bound for Rome, Italy. Your flight schedule is posted at eatours.com using your tour code, 223101.
Monday
April 10: Upon arrival to Rome International Airport and collecting your luggage, you will depart from Rome for your full day excursion to visit the magnificent Renaissance city of Siena, where you will explore with your Tour Director for approximately 3.5 hours before returning to Rome. Upon your return to Rome (approximately 8 p.m.), dinner is included.
Tuesday
April 11: Following breakfast, you will continue your adventure in Rome. Your day will begin with a walk to Vatican City where you will meet your guides and enjoy a guided visit to the Vatican Museum, St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. The various treasures will astound you. From Vatican City, you will be transferred by bus to the hotel for you to take a break and enjoy lunch. Following lunch, you will meet your local guides who will take you to some of Rome’s most important and magical sites. As this will be a full day of walking. Dinner tonight is not included. Your Tour Director will advise you of the time schedule for the day.
Wednesday
April 12: 8 a.m. departure for your full day excursion to Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance, for a full day excursion. Florence will thrill you with its treasures. You will begin with a walking tour of the city and a visit to see Michelangel & David at the ever important Accademia. Other optional highlights include the massive Duomo and its Baptistry, shopping in the straw market and open-air market and strolling across the Ponte-Vecchio to see the gold and silver shops. Dinner tonight is included in Florence before returning to Rome with a late evening arrival. Your Tour Director will advise you of the time schedule for the day.
Thursday
April 13 : Following breakfast, your day takes you for a wonderful excursion to the town of Assisi. Following your return to Rome, you will have a break to rest before going for dinner (on your own). Your Tour Director will advise you of the time schedule for the day.
Friday
April 14: After breakfast, you will check-out of the Hotel Genio (9:30 am) and transferred to your next Rome hotel, the Sheraton Parco de’ Medici. Following hotel check-in and getting settled in your room, you will depart at 4 p.m. by private transfer to Rome city center. You will enjoy strolling with your Tour Director through the Historic District before stopping for dinner, on your own. Your Tour Director will advise you of the time schedule for the day.
Saturday
April 15: Following breakfast, you will depart at 9:30 am from your hotel by private bus transfer to the Rome City Center for a full day of sightseeing by foot with your Tour Director. Highlights of Rome are the Colosseum, Forum, St. Peter in Chains Church, Basilica San Clemente, Piazza del Popolo, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain plus much more. As you will going to places of worship, please be sure to dress appropriately and wear comfortable walking shoes. Following your sightseeing, you will stop for dinner (on your own) before returning to your hotel (9 pm) by private transfer.
Sunday
April 16: After breakfast, a 7:30 am departure from Rome is scheduled for a drive towards southern Italy and the famous city of Naples. Upon arrival to Naples, you will go directly to the Ferry Docks to connect with your Ferry Boat ride across the Bay of Naples to the charming Isle of Capri, famous for its amazing views, marine caves and cliffs that drop dramatically into the sea. You will certainly enjoy the charm of the Isle of Capri as you explore its various boutiques, wonderful shops, and churches. From Capri, you will return to Naples where your bus will transfer to your hotel. Dinner tonight is included. Your Tour Director will advise you of the time schedule for the day.
Monday
April 17: A 9 am departure is scheduled from your hotel for the archaeological wonders of Pompei. Pompeii, covered by the ash of the 79 AD eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, is considered by many experts to be one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. Your morning will take you back in time as you explore Pompeii and its ancient streets and structures. Following a break for lunch, a 1 pm departure is scheduled for your return trip to Rome and your hotel, the Sheraton Parco de’ Medici. Dinner tonight is included. Your Tour Director will advise you of the time schedule for the day.
Tuesday
April 18: Today you will depart for your flight back to the United States with wonderful memories of your journey! Your Tour Director will advise you of the time schedule for the day. Pertinent flight information is listed at eatours.com using your tour code 223101.
