Immerse yourself in the history of our nation’s capital, which will leave you with a deeper pride and understanding of American History. November 16, 2021

Upon your arrival to Washington, D.C. you will be met by your private motor coach to begin your exciting, patriotic adventure. After lunch*, you will transfer to your hotel for check in before you head to the Smithsonian National Zoological Park*, one of the oldest zoos in the United States and currently home to more than 1,500 animals across 300 different species. Continue your trip by metro* for a visit to one of the highlights of your patriotic journey, the National Archives*, where you will view some of the most important documents in our nation’s history, including The Declaration of Independence. Then, explore the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center* before dinner*.

 

November 17, 2021

This morning will begin with a visit to Arlington National Cemetery*, resting place for so many American heroes.  Here, witness Kennedy’s Eternal Flame, the solemn Changing of the Guards Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and visit the memorials dedicated to the Space Shuttles Columbia and Challenger following the ceremony. You will then travel to the Pentagon Memorial*, a permanent outdoor memorial to the victims of September 11th. Following lunch*, there will be time to explore the Smithsonians such as the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History*, where the Hope Diamond is currently on display, or the Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian*. There are more than 137 million objects, works of art and specimens at the Smithsonian Museums and Galleries; there is something for everyone. Dinner* will precede a guided tour* of some of the many memorials dedicated to the pride and sacrifice of the American people, such as the Jefferson, FDR and MLK Memorials*.

 

November 18, 2021

Start today with a visit to Ford’s Theatre and Lincoln Center*, which will showcase the 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, and his presidency, assassination and legacy. You will continue your day with a scheduled visit to the Capitol Building*. The Senate and the House of Representatives have met at the Capitol for over 200 years. Enjoy lunch* at the Capitol, followed by a guided tour*. You will then view the Library of Congress*, followed by a visit to the Supreme Court*, which is the final judge in all cases involving laws of Congress, and the highest law of all — the Constitution. Next, visit the Museum of the Bible*, which documents the narrative, history, and impact of the Bible and has the only exhibition of Israeli antiquities outside of Israel. There will be time for souvenir shopping tonight after dinner*.

 

November 19, 2021

After breakfast, you will make your way to the Marine Corps War Memorial*, also known as the Iwo Jima Memorial, followed by a stop in front of the White House for a fantastic photo opportunity. From there, you will stop for an outside view of the Washington Monument, an obelisk on the National Mall, built to commemorate George Washington. Following lunch*, time will be dedicated to exploring the Smithsonian Museum of American History* and the Smithsonian Museum of Air & Space*. Some of the exhibits you will find at these museums include the original Star Spangled Banner, Julia Child’s kitchen, the Wright 1903 Flyer and the Apollo 11 command module, Columbia. You will then partake in a humbling experience at the Holocaust Memorial Museum*, both a touching and vivid reminder of those who were persecuted and a supplication against such inhumanity. From here, you will depart for the airport and your flight home, taking along your memories and a deeper pride and appreciation for American history.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The tour price of $1,382.00 is based on four persons to a room and includes roundtrip airline transportation from Tampa, hotel accommodations, 3 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 4 dinners, sightseeing, metro card, entrance fees if required and motor-coach transportation, where applicable.  Sightseeing visits INCLUDE guide and entrance fees (if applicable) to the Smithsonian Zoo, National Archives, Ronald Reagan Building, Arlington Cemetery, Pentagon Memorial, Smithsonians, Memorials tour, Ford’s Theatre, US Capitol, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, Museum of the Bible, Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima) White House Photo Op, and the Holocaust Memorial Museum. Please note that all above-mentioned scheduled activities are subject to change or cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e. availability, weather, traffic, etc.). In the event that planned activities, museum visits, etc. are closed due to Covid-19 and/or for any other reason, EA Tours reserves the right to substitute those planned activities with other venues, at their discretion.  Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price. A guaranteed triple occupancy room may be available for a supplemental charge of $60.00 per person. A guaranteed twin occupancy room may be available for a supplemental charge of $140.00 per person. A guaranteed single occupancy room may be available for a supplemental charge of $380.00. Included are the estimated applicable governmental airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees. The applicable tour conditions are listed on the online application. A $382.00 non-refundable (for any reason) deposit is due by August 16th to be eligible for the trip. A 2nd payment of $500.00 will be due September 01, 2021. The final payment of $500.00 will be due October 01, 2021. Final payments are due no later than October 01, 2021. For any cancellation received from August 17, 2021, up to and including September 10, 2021, a complete refund, minus a 40% cancellation penalty of the TOUR COST, will be issued.  For any cancellation received from September 11, 2021, up to and including October 10, 2021, a complete refund, minus a 75% cancellation penalty of the TOUR COST, will be issued. For any cancellation received from October 11, 2021, up to and including November 16, 2021 (your departure date), the cancellation penalty is 100% of the tour cost. In the unlikely event that EA Tours (only) cancels the tour, the tour cost minus the initial $382. non-refundable deposit is refundable. EA Tours reserves the right, if required, to reschedule the trip dates. In the event the trip is rescheduled, tour cancellation rules as listed above still apply. Please note that additional tour conditions are stated on the Tour Participant Application. Tour cancellation rules as listed above (dated deadlines, penalties, etc.) supersede those listed on the Tour Participant Application and agreement.
