This morning, depart Orlando on a flight to our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. Your private motor coach will meet you on arrival at the airport. You will then transfer to the hotel for orientation, followed by dinner*.

October 5, 2021

This morning, travel to one of the seats of power in our nation, the US Capitol Building, to view the Senate Chambers and Gallery*. Afterwards, a tour of the US Capitol Building* is planned. The Senate and the House of Representatives have met at the Capitol for over 200 years. After lunch*, you will have the chance to talk with Representatives regarding policy and procedures. Later, you may have a chance to meet Senators and Congressman. This evening after dinner*, you will visit some of the memorials* dedicated to the pride and sacrifice of the American people including: the Lincoln, Vietnam, Korean, and WWII Memorials.

October 6, 2021

Begin today debating with the Florida Family Policy Council*. After lunch*, you will journey to Mount Vernon*, George Washington’s estate and resting place. Your guide will direct you through Washington’s home, tomb and the many buildings which helped to run this large estate. You will also participate in the wreath-laying ceremony* at George Washington’s tomb. Following dinner*, there will be a policy debate hosted at your hotel.

October 7, 2021

This morning, you will tour the Supreme Court*, which is the final judge in all cases involving laws of Congress, and the highest law of all – the Constitution, followed by the Library of Congress*. Then, a  photo opportunity awaits you in front of the White House, as well as Capitol Hill prior to lunch*. This afternoon, you will participate in a mock Congress workshop* and a Politics Today Seminar*.  From there, visit the September 11th Pentagon Memorial* and the Air Force Memorial.  Dinner* tonight  will be at the Pentagon Mall. After dinner, you will view more of the local memorials such as: the FDR, MLK Jr., Thomas Jefferson Memorials and the Washington Monument.

October 8, 2021

Start today with a trip to Arlington National Cemetery*. Arlington is the final resting place for countless American heroes. Here, witness the solemn Changing of the Guards Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Then, visit the Smithsonian Museums*, which hold more than 137 million  objects, works of art and specimens; there is something for everyone. One such stop after lunch* will be the National Museum of African American History and Culture*, devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture. Also worth a visit is the Smithsonian Museum of American History*, which offers exhibits such as the Star Spangled Banner and Julia Child’s kitchen. Afterward, you depart for home, taking along with you memories, souvenirs, and a deeper pride and appreciation for American History.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: The tour price of $1,785.00 is based on four persons to a room and includes round-trip airline transportation from Orlando, FL, hotel, 4 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 4 dinners, sightseeing, entrance fees if required and private motor-coach transportation. Anticipated sites to be visited (including entrance fees if applicable) include the Senate Chambers and Gallery, US Capitol Tour, Monument/Memorial Tours, debate, Mount Vernon and wreath­ laying ceremony(pending availability), Supreme Court, Library of Congress, mock Congress workshop, Politics Today seminar,  September  11th  Pentagon Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, and the Smithsonian Museums. Please note that all above-mentioned scheduled activities are subject to change or cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e. availability, weather, traffic, etc.). A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $610.00. A guaranteed twin room may be available for a supplemental charge of $205.00 per person. A guaranteed triple room may be available for a supplemental charge of $70.00 per person. Included are the estimated applicable governmental airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees. The applicable tour conditions are listed on the online application. To be eligible for the trip, there is a $100.00 non-refundable deposit due on February 1, 2021. A payment of $280.00 will be due each subsequent month for 5 months beginning March 1st, with the final payment of $285.00 due on August 1, 2021. In the unlikely event that EA Tours were to cancel the trip, the tour cost, including the initial deposit, is fully refundable.
