Museum encounters, memorial visits, and preserved historical sites make this trip exciting and rewarding.  Bring these memories home with you on October 17th.

October 14, 2021

This morning, depart Orlando on a flight bound for our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. Your private motor coach and tour leader will meet you on arrival at the airport.  After lunch*, stop at the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial* followed by the Marine Corps War Memorial*, also known as the Iwo Jima Memorial. Then, explore the National Archives* where you will view some of the most important documents in our nation’s history including The Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. The Smithsonian Natural History Museum* is your next stop. Some of the popular exhibits to be seen there include: Dinosaurs, FossiLab and The Hope Diamond. Dinner* tonight will be followed by a moonlight tour* of the memorials, including the Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Jefferson Memorials.

 

October 15, 2021

This morning, a tour of one of the seats of power in our nation, the US Capitol Building*, is planned. The Senate and the House of Representatives have met at the Capitol for over 200 years. After lunch*, you will experience a humbling visit to the Holocaust Museum*, both a touching and vivid reminder of those who were persecuted and a supplication against such inhumanity. From there, you will have the chance to explore your choice of the Smithsonian’s. You will not want to miss the Smithsonian Museum of American History, which offers exhibits such as the Star Spangled Banner and Julia Child’s kitchen. Dinner* tonight will be followed by free time at the hotel.

 

October 16, 2021

Begin today with a trip to the Smithsonian National Zoological Park*, one of the oldest zoos in the United States and currently home to more than 1,500 animals across 300 different species. This afternoon, you will traverse Arlington National Cemetery*. Arlington is the final resting place for countless American heroes. Here, witness the solemn Changing of the Guards Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and maybe even participate in a Wreath Laying Ceremony (pending approval). Time will be available for souvenir shopping before dinner*. Afterwards, enjoy a special ice cream treat at Pop’s Ice Cream* before returning to your hotel.

 

October 17, 2021

This morning you will journey to Mount Vernon*, George Washington’s estate and resting place. Your guide will direct you through Washington’s home, tomb and the many buildings which helped to run this large estate. You will also participate in the wreath-laying ceremony* at George Washington’s tomb. After lunch*, you depart for home, taking along with you memories, souvenirs, and a deeper pride and appreciation for American History.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS:  *The tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $1,590.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the standard non-discounted price is $1,690.00.  If you wish to use a credit card for your initial deposit, you will be allowed to pay the remaining payments by check and still receive the discounted tour price. The tour price is based on four persons to a room and includes round-trip airline transportation from Orlando, FL, hotel, 3 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 3 dinners, sightseeing, entrance fees if required and private motor-coach transportation.  Anticipated sites to be visited (including entrance fees if applicable) include the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial, Marine Corps War Memorial, National Archives, Monuments and Memorials, US Capitol Tour, Holocaust Memorial Museum, Smithsonian Museums and Zoo, Arlington Cemetery and Tram, Ice Cream and Mount Vernon. Please note that all above-mentioned scheduled activities are subject to change, substitution or cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e. availability, weather, traffic, etc.).  A guaranteed triple, double or single room may be available for a supplemental charge upon request. Included are the estimated applicable governmental airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees.  The applicable tour conditions are listed on the online application.  There is a $100.00 non-refundable deposit due to be eligible for the trip.  To sign up you can visit the “student/traveler signup” page on our website at www.EAtours.com.  The tour number for your group is 222206.  A 2nd payment of $745.00 will be due August 1, 2021.  The final payment in the amount of $845.00, if using a credit card, is due no later than September 1, 2021. Additional details will be supplied approximately 30 days before departure.

 

Final payments are due no later than September 1, 2021. For any cancellation received from August 2, 2021, up to and including August 31, 2021, a complete refund, minus a 40% cancellation penalty of the TOUR COST, will be issued.  For any cancellation received from September 1, 2021, up to and including September 12, 2021, a complete refund, minus a 75% cancellation penalty of the TOUR COST, will be issued. For any cancellation received from September 13, 2021, up to and including October 14, 2021 (your departure date), the cancellation penalty is 100% of the tour cost. In the unlikely event that EA Tours (only) cancels the tour, the tour cost minus the initial $100.00 non-refundable application fee is refundable. EA Tours reserves the right, if required, to reschedule the trip dates. In the event the trip is rescheduled, tour cancellation rules as listed above still apply. Please note that additional tour conditions are stated on the Tour Participant Application. Tour cancellation rules as listed above (dated deadlines, penalties, etc.) supersede those listed on the Tour Participant Application and agreement.
