On May 25th you will depart from Tallahassee to spend 9 wonderful days discovering the splendors of France. Enjoy fantastic excursions, cultural encounters, historical sites, delicious food, and souvenir shopping. Return home to Tallahassee on June 2nd.

Paris

May 26 – May 30, 2022

On May 26th you will arrive in Paris and transfer direct to your hotel for check-in. You will enjoy an afternoon guided city walking tour*, as Paris waits to greet you with all the charm and the elegance for which it is famous. Dinner* is included this evening.  Tonight, you will enjoy an ascent of the Eiffel Tower*. On May 27th you will travel outside of Paris, to begin your day with a trip to Giverny, visiting the gardens and the home of Claude Monet. After a lovely tour of this historic landmark, your journey will continue with an excursion to the Palace of Versailles*.  Once home to King Louis XIV, the self-proclaimed “Sun King,” it now serves as a testament to that era’s rich cultural heritage and aristocratic power. You will marvel at expansive beauty of both the palace and the celebrated gardens. Enjoy the late afternoon back in Paris people-watching, shopping and sightseeing. Start May 28th with a visit to the Catacombs* of Paris and the Musee d’Orsay*.  Later this afternoon attend a cooking class*, pending availability, to learn the art of making macarons. The evening will be spent strolling the Champs Élysées on your way to the Arc de Triomphe. Begin the morning of May 29th visiting Sainte Chapelle, this afternoon will be defined by a visit to the Louvre* – home to some of humanity’s greatest artistic masterpieces including the Venus de Milo, Winged Victory and Mona Lisa.  End this evening with a cruise* on the Seine River giving Paris a final good-bye.

Toulouse

May 30 – June 2, 2022

The morning of May 30th you will bid farewell to Paris as you travel to Toulouse by train. Upon arrival to Toulouse, you will enjoy a guided walking tour* featuring some of the city’s wonderful highlights.  Place du Capitole and its Salle des Illustres, Hotel de Ville and Vieux Quartier (old quarter) are but a few of the charming sites awaiting you.  Dinner* is included this evening. On May 31st your day will begin with an excursion by train to the charming, medieval town of Carcassonne.   Highlights of your guided city tour include the Chateau Comtal*, Eglise Saint-Nazaire and of course, Porte Narbonnaise.  June 1st your final day in France takes you by train to the fascinating city of Albi, a town rich in medieval and renaissance history.  Your guided tour* of Albi includes such sites as the Toulouse Lautrec Museum*, Sainte-Cecile Cathedral and Pont Vieux.   Your final evening takes you back to Toulouse and a final dinner* before you depart for home. On June 2nd return home with souvenirs, photos, and memories of your French adventure!

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The estimated tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $4695.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the estimated standard non-discounted price is $4795.00.  If you wish to use a credit card for your initial deposit, you will be allowed to pay the remaining payments by check and still receive the discounted tour price. Trip price is based on triple occupancy and includes round trip airfare from Tallahassee, point-to-point transportation between cities while in France (train), all breakfasts and 3 evening meals.  Additionally, *entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk are included in the tour price (Palace of Versailles, Eiffel Tower, Musee d’Orsay, The Louvre, Sainte Chapelle , Catacombs, Seine River Cruise, cooking class – subject to availability, Chateau Comtal, Toulouse Lautrec  Museum). Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price.  A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $685.00.  A guaranteed twin room may be available for a supplemental charge of $485.00 per person. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees. If applicable, unforeseen tax increases will be billed on a supplemental invoice. A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour.

 

A $500.00 non-refundable (for any reason) application fee / deposit is required to reserve your space on this tour. All tour participants must submit an online application.  Please go to “Student/Traveler Sign Up” on the home page at www.EAtours.com.  Your tour number is 222145 and must be entered on your online application.   Very specific conditions relating to Covid 19 apply and are listed in the Tour Conditions of the online Participation Agreement and Application at eatours.com.  PLEASE NOTE:   At the time of the printing of this brochure, the French government mandates that, in order to gain-entry into museums, shops/stores, historic sites, restaurants, etc., proof of full vaccination be shown.   As a result of this governmental regulation, in order to participate on this tour, all tour participants are required to be fully vaccinated.  In addition, a negative COVID 19 test may be required to be shown within 72 hours of departure for the USA.   If the COVID 19 test requirement is still in effect before returning to the USA, the cost of the test is at additional cost and is to be paid directly to the testing location by the tour participant.  EA Tours expects to assist with making-arrangements for the test but is not responsible for the payment.

 

A second payment of $1000.00, for which you will receive an invoice, will be due no later than 30 days from the date that EA Tours receives your initial payment and online application.   Final payments are due no later than ninety (90) days before departure.

 

Updated tour details (hotels, day by day itinerary, flights, etc.) are scheduled to be released approximately four weeks prior to departure.  Please note:  This is not an officially school sponsored program.  Additional tour conditions apply and are listed in the Tour Conditions Section on the Online Application.
