 Day 1 – Saturday, February 19 / USA

Today you will depart on your overnight flight to Europe.  Naturally meals will be served, and optional in-flight entertainment will be offered.

 

Day2 – Sunday, February 20 / Rome-Sorrento

Upon arrival to Rome you will be met at the airport and transferred to Sorrento. Spend this evening exploring area points of interest with your tour leader.  Dinner is included.  Overnight in Sorrento.

 

Day 3 – Monday, February 21 / Sorrento

 10 am departure from your hotel.  Today you will enjoy an excursion to the Isle of Capri. While enjoying this beautiful island you may optionally wish to visit (by boat) the Blue Grotto, or you may choose to ascend to Ana Capri for optional visits to Augustus’ gardens and Tiberius’ villas.  Overnight in Sorrento.

  

Day 4 – Tuesday, February 22 / Sorrento

 9 am departure from your hotel.  Begin today with a morning guided excursion to visit the Amalfi Coast including the amazingly spectacular town of Amalfi before continuing to Ravello this afternoon.  Overnight in Sorrento.

  

Day 5 – Wednesday, February 23 / Sorrento-Florence

 9 am departure from your hotel.  Today you will depart Sorrento with a private bus for a guided visit of Pompeii.  Following your Pompeii experience (fascinating), you will take an Italian “high speed train” to Florence.  Overnight in Florence.

 

 Day 6 – Thursday, February 24 / Florence

 9:30 am departure from your hotel.  You will begin your day with a guided walking tour of Florence, which will include a visit to see the David at the Academia. This afternoon, local sightseeing is planned with your tour leader to area points of interest, including entrance fees for the Uffizi Gallery.   Highlights today may include the Medici Chapel, shopping in the straw market / open-air market, and strolling across the Ponte-Vecchio to see the gold and silver shops.  Overnight in Florence.

 

Day 7 – Friday, February 25 / Florence-Rome

 Departure time from Florence to Rome to be advised.  Bid farewell to Florence as you travel by train to Rome. Begin sightseeing with your tour leader to area points of interest.   Dinner is included.  Overnight in Rome.

  

Day 8 – Saturday, February 26 / Rome

 9 am departure this morning from your hotel. Begin today with a guided visit to the Colosseum and Forum. Following lunch, you will enjoy a visit to Tivoli to see the Ville d’ Este and the magnificent gardens. Later you will enjoy your afternoon in Rome with your tour leader visiting such places and sites as Saint Peters in Chains, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona.  Overnight in Rome.

 

 Day 9 – Sunday, February 27 / Rome

 9 am departure this morning from your hotel. Dedicate today at leisure to exploring the fantastic sites this city has to offer including museums, churches, markets, and much more.  Your Tour Director will be available to take you to various places in Rome.  Overnight in Rome.

  

Day 10 – Monday, February 28 / Rome

9 am departure this morning from your hotel. This morning you will enjoy a guided tour of the Vatican Museums including St. Peter’s Basilica. Dedicate this afternoon to exploring Rome with your tour leader to include such sights as Piazza del Popolo and Spanish Steps and time for some great shopping.  Dinner Included. Overnight in Rome.

 

Day 11 – Tuesday, March 1 / Rome-USA

Today, you will board a plane bound for home with photos, souvenirs and memories, marking the end of your Italian adventure.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $3,899.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the standard non-discounted price is $3,999.00.  If you wish to use a credit card for your initial deposit, you will be allowed to pay the remaining payments by check and still receive the discounted tour price. Trip price is based on triple occupancy and includes round trip airfare from Memphis, point-to point transportation between cities while in Europe, all breakfasts and 3 dinners.  Additionally, *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk as well as city tours in Pompeii, Florence and Rome are included in the tour price (Pompeii, Capri, Amalfi, Ravello, Tivoli, Vatican Museums, St. Peter’s Basilica,  Colosseum and Forum, Academia, Uffizi). In the unlikely event that EA Tours cancels the tour and is unable to operate a substitute itinerary, the tour cost including the initial deposit is fully refundable. Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price.  A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $345.00. A guaranteed twin room may be available for a supplemental charge of $130.00 per person. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees. If applicable, unforeseen tax increases will be billed on a supplemental invoice. A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour.  A $500.00 non-refundable initial deposit is required to reserve your space on this tour. A second payment of $1,000.00, will be due no later than 30 days after your initial payment. Final payments are due no later than seventy (70) days before departure.
