Geneva, Florence and Rome * October 10 – 18, 2020

On October 10th, you will depart Tampa to begin your Educational European Tour Adventure, landing in the timeless city of Geneva on October 11th to discover the hidden treasures of this city. Multiple public health appointments, cultural encounters, preserved historical sites, delicious foods and wonderful shopping make this trip exciting and rewarding.  Bring these memories home with you on October 18th.

GENEVA

October 11 – 14, 2020

 

On October 11th, you will arrive in Geneva to begin your European adventure.  Following hotel check-in you will begin to explore the city of Geneva with your tour leader.  Some points of interest will include the Jet d’Eau and beautiful Lake Geneva. Begin October 12th with a visit to The World Health Organization*.  In the afternoon you will visit The United Nations in Geneva*.   Your focus on October 13th is the Red Cross.  Your appointment will include the International Committee of the Red Cross*.  A visit to the Natural History Museum* will complete your day.  This museum houses the collections of Louis Jurine.  A fondue dinner is scheduled this evening.  On October 14th, you travel by train to Florence, Italy.

 

Florence and Rome

October 14 – 18, 2020

 

Upon arrival in Florence on October 14th, dinner followed by a walk around historic Florence is planned. On October 15th, you will enjoy a guided walking tour* that will include a visit to the Accademia* where you will see Michelangelo’s famous statue of David, the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, and the markets of San Lorenzo.  The afternoon will be devoted to additional sightseeing, shopping and, of course, opportunities to enjoy Gelato.  On October 16th you will board your morning train to Rome.  Your guided tour will include the Colosseum* and Forum* as well as the Pantheon and Piazza Navona.. In the evening you will have a chance to explore with your tour leader and perhaps toss a coin in Trevi Fountain, this tradition is said to insure a return trip to Rome.  October 17th will include a guided tour of St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museum* where you will see the Sistine Chapel.  Your final evening will include a farewell dinner in honor of your educational adventure.  On October 18th, you will return to the United States with fond memories, amazing experiences and perhaps a souvenir or two from your European adventure.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS:  The trip is based on combined twin and triple occupancy and includes round trip airfare from Tampa, point-to-point transportation between cities while in Europe, breakfasts and all dinners.     Additionally, *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk as well as city tours in Florence and Rome are included in the tour price (United Nations, Academia, Colosseum, Forum and Vatican Museum. All medical related visits mentioned are pending availability and if for some unforeseen reason are not available, will be replaced when possible, by other Medical organizations.  In the unlikely event that EA Tours cancels the tour and is unable to operate a substitute itinerary, the complete tour cost is fully refundable.  Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price.  A guaranteed twin or single room may be available for a supplemental charge. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees. If applicable, unforeseen tax increases will be billed on a supplemental invoice.  A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour.  Updated tour details (hotels, day by day itinerary, flights, etc.) are scheduled to be released approximately four weeks prior to departure.  Please note:  This is an officially school sponsored program.
