Nairobi and Aberdare
June 9 – 10, 2020
On June 9th, you will arrive in Nairobi in the late evening and transfer to your hotel. On June 10th, you will enjoy traveling to Aberdare where your hotel has viewing decks with balconies and lounges affording superb game viewing. The animals come to you! The following day, June 11th, an early departure for game viewing* is planned before you depart to Lake Nakuru.
Lake Nakuru
June 11 – 14, 2020
On June 11th. you will arrive at your lodge followed by a game drive across Pink Lake*, named for the Flamingos who live there. The area is also famous for white Rhinos and black Rhinos. Begin June 12th with travel to Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara town of Narok. Following check-in at your camp, a Big 5 game drive* is planned where you may see the Big 5 (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and cape buffalo) as well as cheetah, serval, hyena, bat-eared foxes, black-backed and side-striped jackals, hippo, crocodile, baboons, warthog, topi, eland, Thompson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, impala, waterbuck, oribi, reed-buck, and zebra*. On June 13th, you spend a full day in the Maasai Mara National Reserve Park* viewing the animals. June 14th finds you traveling to Lake Naivasha.. .
Lake Naivasha, Amboseli, Nairobi and home
June 14 – 17, 2020
On June 14th, you will begin with an early morning game drive* before breakfast. After eating you will drive to Lake Naivasha with a stop en-route for a view of the great rift valley before arriving at your lodge. Later in the afternoon, a game drive* with a visit to Hells Gate National Park* is planned. The park offers walking safari, hiking, bicycling, rock climbing and wildlife photography. You finish with a visit to a geothermal power plant before returning to your lodge. Following breakfast on June 15th you proceed to Amboseli National Park* which lies at the floor of Mount Kilimanjaro. Before arriving at your safari camp. A late afternoon game drive* is planned at the park. Following your early morning game drive* and breakfast on June 16th, you drive to Nairobi. A guided city tour* is scheduled for the afternoon and includes Nairobi history, the Mau Mau Rebellion, the events proceeding the attack on the US Embassy in 1998 and time in the Embassy Museum*. You will then be taken to Nairobi Airport to board your connecting late night flight back to Washington D.C. taking with your fantastic souvenirs, memories, and photos marking the end of your African adventure. Your flight arrives in Washington, D.C. in the late afternoon of June 17th.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $7,698.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the standard non-discounted price is $7,898.00. If you wish to use a credit card for your initial deposit, you will be allowed to pay the remaining payments by check and still receive the discounted tour price. Trip price is based on twin occupancy and includes round trip airfare from Washington, point-to point transportation between cities and camps while in Kenya, all breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Additionally, *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk as well as a city tour in Nairobi are included. In the unlikely event that EA Tours cancels the tour and is unable to operate a substitute itinerary, the tour cost including the initial deposit is fully refundable. Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees. If applicable, unforeseen tax increases will be billed on a supplemental invoice. A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour. A $1000.00 non-refundable initial deposit is required to reserve your space on this tour. All tour participants must submit an online application.
