Today you depart the United States on your overnight flight to Rome. Naturally meals will be served, and optional in-flight entertainment will be offered. Please refer to your flight schedule for pertinent details.

Upon arrival to Rome, you will transfer to Pompeii and enjoy a visit to the Naples Archeological Museum (closed Tuesdays) before checking into your hotel.

This morning will be dedicated to exploring ancient and modern Pompeii with an afternoon trip to Oplontis and Herculaneum by Circumvesuviana.
Sunday, June 7, 2020
Depart Pompeii for the beautiful coastal town of Sorrento with a guided visit to Paestum en route. Overnight Sorrento.
Monday, June 8, 2020
Today, an excursion to Sorrento and Capri where authentic coastal villages, marine caves and cliff faces can be seen. (Island cruise with visit to Blue Grotto as incentive to those who register by the deadline.) Lunch then hike to Villa Jovis. Your evening will near its end while you enjoy dinner (mozzarella?) before returning to your Sorrento hotel.

Depart Sorrento for visits to Mt. Vesuvius, Terracina (temple site) and Sperlonga (museum and cave) en route to Rome. Evening of sightseeing to the Trevi Fountain with your tour leader after Rome Hotel check-in.

Take the day to discover the beauty that San Clemente has to offer and, in the evening, embrace your inner peace at the Ara Pacis Augustae.

Begin this morning by visiting the Vatican Museums, where you will have a chance to view religious relics and treasures accumulated over the centuries and explore St. Peter’s Basilica. In the afternoon, a visit is planned to the Palazzo Altemps.

Today you will be going to the heart of ancient Rome to see the Colosseum and Forum. Later in the afternoon you will enjoy exploring the Via Condotti.
Saturday, June 13, 2020
Begin this morning with an excursion to Tivoli by train with entrance to Hadrian’s Villa (with tour guide). Dedicate this afternoon to sightseeing in Rome with your tour leader to area points of interest.

Today morning Mass is planned at the Marist house with walk down to St Peter’s Square to hear pope’s address. Later this afternoon you will take public transportation to Catacombs, Quo Vadis Church, Ardeatine Caves and Pyramide.
