The Splendors of Greece
Day 1 – March 6
Today you depart the United States on your overnight flight to Athens. Naturally, meals will be served and optional in-flight entertainment offered. Please refer to your flight schedule for pertinent details.
Day 2 – March 7
Upon arrival you will transfer to your hotel. Following hotel check-in you will begin to explore Athens with your tour director. This evening is dedicated to explore the Plaka where there will be time for sightseeing and shopping for souvenirs. Dinner tonight is included.
Day 3 – March 8
This morning you will enjoy your guided city tour including entrance to the Acropolis. The highlight of this afternoon is a visit to the Temple of Poseidon, god of the sea, at Cape Sounion. Dinner is included.
Day 4 – March 9
Today begins your classical tour of Greece with guided visits to Mycenae and Epidaurus. You will overnight in Nafplion where dinner is included.
Day 5 – March 10
Today you visit ancient Olympia and its Archaeological Museum with your guide. You will overnight in Nafpaktos with dinner included.
Day 6 – March 11
Today you pass over the new bridge from Rio to Antirio as you make your way to Delphi, home to the Sanctuary of Apollo and the Oracle of Delphi. You will visit the archaeological site and the Museum of Delphi. Dinner is included.
Day 7 – March 12
Today you will return to Athens. In the afternoon you will visit the Archeological Museum where you will see artifacts from prehistoric, archaic, classical times. Dinner tonight is included.
Day 8 – March 13
Early this morning you will depart your hotel for a full day Saronic Islands Cruise. On this Scenic cruise your visits include stops at the islands of Hydra, Poros and Agina. Farewell Dinner and Folklore show will be included upon your return to Athens.
Day 9 – March 14
This morning you will transfer to Athens airport where you board your return flight home.
