Prague & Venice

April 5 – 9, 2020

On April 5th, you will arrive in Prague to begin your European adventure. Following hotel check-in, you may have time this evening to explore the city with your tour director. The morning of April 6th, you will travel to Prague Old Town and take a guided tour* of Old Town Square and the Jewish Quarter, to include a visit to the old Jewish cemetery and synagogue*. The rest of the day will be dedicated to exploring area points of interest with your tour leader. April 7th will begin with visits to the Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral and the Golden Lane*. You will spend this afternoon at your leisure. The morning of April 8th, you will depart Prague on a flight to Venice! Upon arrival, you will transfer to your hotel, followed by an afternoon tour of the city* where you may see sights such as St. Mark’s Cathedral, the colorful Doge’s Palace*, and the famous Bell Tower.  You may wish to optionally visit a glass-blowing studio or the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. This evening, you may enjoy an optional Gondola ride (free to those who register by the deadline). On April 9th, your adventure continues with an excursion* to the Venetian Islands of Murano and Burano, where you will marvel at the traditional glass and lace making arts.

 

Desenzano & Milan

April 10 – 13, 2020

Bid farewell to Venice on April 10th as you continue to Desenzano. After checking into your hotel, enjoy time exploring this beautiful city, known for its elaborate mosaic floors located in the remains of the Roman Villa. Located here is the home believed to be the birthplace of St. Angela, the Duomo where she was baptized, the farmhouse where she was raised, and the country area where it is believed her vision took place. In the Piazza Malvezzi stands a monument to St. Angela and the new parish Church of St. Angela is named for her. April 11th is dedicated to an excursion to Sirmione*. This commune in northern Italy is known for its thermal baths and Scaligero Castle, a medieval castle that overlooks Lake Garda. The morning of April 12th, you will depart Desenzano for Milan. Milan will welcome you with its art, fashion and culture.  Head of the northern Italian textile industry for centuries, Milan is now a bustling, 21st century metropolis, famous for catapulting designers from their studios to international stardom, including Missoni, Prada, Ferré, Armani and Versace. You will not want to miss the renowned Piazza del Duomo* with its lacy Gothic cathedral or the La Scala* on your guided city tour* before your Farewell Dinner*. On April 13th, you will depart for your flight back to the United States with unforgettable memories of your journey!

 

 

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The estimated tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $4,195.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the standard non-discounted price is $4,295.00.  If you wish to use a credit card for your initial deposit, you will be allowed to pay the remaining payments by check and still receive the discounted tour price. Trip price is based on triple occupancy and includes round trip airfare from New York, point-to-point transportation between cities while in Europe, all breakfasts and 4 dinners. Additionally, *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk as well as city tours in Prague, Venice and Milan are included in the tour price (Jewish Cemetery and synagogue, Prague Castle, Doge’s Palace, excursion to Murano and Burano, excursion to Sirmione, Duomo, and La Scala). In the unlikely event that EA Tours cancels the tour and is unable to operate a substitute itinerary, the tour cost including the initial deposit is fully refundable. Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price.  A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $685.00. A guaranteed twin room may be available for a supplemental charge of $455.00 per person. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees. If applicable, unforeseen tax increases will be billed on a supplemental invoice. A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour.
