On March 23rd, you will depart Los Angeles on a flight bound for New York. New York City is one of the most populous metropolitan areas in the world. Many districts and landmarks have become well known to approximately 50 million annual visitors, such as the famous Times Square. Continue your journey to our nation’s capital, which will leave you with a deeper pride and understanding of American History. Museum encounters, memorial visits and preserved historical sites make this trip exciting and rewarding.  Bring these memories home with you on March 28th.

NEW YORK, NY

 

March 23, 2019

Upon your arrival to New York, you will be met by your private coach and transfer to your hotel before visiting the 102nd floor of the One World Observatory at the One World Trade Center*. Positioned on top of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, the One World Observatory provides unique, panoramic views of New York City. Afterwards, there will be time for sightseeing before dinner* this evening.

 

March 24, 2019

Begin today with a visit to the Statue of Liberty*, a gift from the people of France to the people of the United States. After lunch, visit the Morgan Library*, a museum and research library that houses the private library of J. P. Morgan. This afternoon, you will see the Broadway play Dear Evan Hansen°, featuring the story of a high school senior with social anxiety. Your last stop before dinner* will be the Empire State Building*, the most famous observatory in the world, providing 360-degree views of New York and beyond.

 

WASHINGTON, D.C.

 

March 25, 2019

This morning, you will say goodbye to New York as you travel to our nation’s capital, Washington, DC! You will be met by your private coach and transfer to your hotel. From there, you will enjoy a guided panoramic walking tour* of this historic city. Dinner* tonight will be followed by a guided tour* of some of the memorials including the Jefferson, Lincoln, FDR and MLK Jr. Memorials.

 

March 26, 2019

The morning will be spent at Arlington National Cemetery*, the final resting place for countless American heroes. Here, witness the solemn Changing of the Guards Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. From there, enjoy a visit to the Smithsonian Museums and Galleries*, such as the Museum of American History* and the National Portrait Gallery*. There are more than 137 million objects, works of art and specimens at the Smithsonian Museums and Galleries, so there is something for everyone. Tonight, there will be time available for souvenir shopping before dinner*.

 

March 27, 2019

Begin today with a visit to the White House for a photo opportunity in front of this historic building. This will be followed by a visit to Ford’s Theatre and Lincoln Center*, which will showcase the 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, and his presidency, assassination and legacy. You will then visit the Supreme Court*, which is the final judge in all cases involving laws of Congress, and the highest law of all — the Constitution. Enjoy lunch* at the Capitol, followed by a guided tour of the US Capitol Building*. The Senate and the House of Representatives have met at the Capitol for over 200 years. You will then view the Library of Congress* before you travel to the Holocaust Museum*, both a touching and vivid reminder of those who were persecuted and a supplication against such inhumanity. This evening is dedicated to a night of fun enjoying dinner and bowling* at one of DC’s favorite bowling venues.

 

March 28, 2019

This morning, you will depart for home taking along with you memories, souvenirs, and a deeper pride and appreciation for American History.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: ** The tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $3,300.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the standard non-discounted price is $3,400.00.  If you wish to use a credit card for your initial deposit, you will be allowed to pay the remaining payments by check and still receive the discounted tour price. Trip price is based on four persons to a room and includes roundtrip airline transportation from Los Angeles, CA, hotel accommodations, 5 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 5 dinners, sightseeing, metro card, train, entrance fees if required and coach transportation, where applicable. Anticipated sites to be visited (including entrance fees if applicable) include One World Trade Center, Statue of Liberty, Morgan Library, Dear Evan Hansen° (subject to availability), Empire State Building, Arlington National Cemetery, Smithsonian Museums and Galleries, Ford’s Theatre, Supreme Court, Capitol Tour, Library of Congress, Holocaust Museum and bowling. Please note that all above-mentioned scheduled activities are subject to change or cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e. availability, weather, traffic, etc.). In the unlikely event that EA Tours cancels the tour and is unable to operate a substitute itinerary, the tour cost including the initial deposit is fully refundable. Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price.  Included are the estimated applicable governmental airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees.
