Paris

June 11 – 14, 2019

Upon your arrival to Paris June 11^th, you will enjoy a panoramic city tour* to see such sights as the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, Place de la Concorde and much more. June 12^th will be defined by a sojourn to the Louvre*, home to some of humanity’s greatest artistic masterpieces including the Venus de Milo, Winged Victory and Mona Lisa. In the afternoon, discover area points of interest with your tour leader including Notre Dame, Sainte-Chapelle, Sacré-Cœur and more. This evening you may choose to ascend the Eiffel Tower and enjoy an opportunity that offers an unparalleled view of Paris by night (free to those who submit their application and deposit by the deadline). On June 13^th, an excursion is planned outside of Paris to the Palace of Versailles*, once the home of King Louis XIV, the “Sun King”, it now serves as a testament to that era’s rich cultural heritage and aristocratic power. Your time in Paris ends as you travel to Florence by plane* on June 14^th.

Florence

June 14 – 16, 2019

On June 14^th, you will bid farewell to Paris as you continue your journey to Florence. This evening, you may choose to stroll across the Ponte Vecchio to see the gold and silver shops with your tour leader. As birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence will thrill you with its treasures.  During a guided walking tour of the city*on June 15^th, you will see many of the important sights of this historic town including the Accademia*, home to Michelangelo’s “David”, Santa Maria Novella, the Duomo, and the eight-sided Baptistery.  Later this afternoon, you may wish to optionally visit the Uffizi Gallery, Italy’s greatest art gallery the Bargello Museum, Florence’s second-ranking museum, which houses Italy’s finest collection of Renaissance sculpture.  You will bid farewell to Florence as you travel to Rome by train* on June 16^th.

Rome

June 16 – 19, 2019

June 16^th, you will board a train to Rome. Upon your arrival, you will enjoy a guided tour of the city* including a visit to the Colosseum and Forum* before checking into your Rome hotel. Begin June 17^th with a guided visit to the Vatican Museums* including St. Peter’s Basilica* and the Sistine Chapel*. Spend this evening exploring area points of interest with your tour leader such as the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and much more. An excursion is planned on June 18^th to explore the preserved remains of the ancient city of Pompeii*. Here, the Roman Empire speaks directly to you through glimpses of ancient everyday life and real people frozen in time since the city’s burial by Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD. From there, you will also visit the Naples Archaeological Museum*, which houses many artifacts recovered from Pompeii. You will return to Rome this evening for your farewell dinner*. On June 19^th, you will board a plane bound for home with souvenirs, memories, and perhaps a photo or two in tow marking the end of your European adventure.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $4,690.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the standard non-discounted price is $4,790.00.  If you wish to use a credit card for your initial deposit, you will be allowed to pay the remaining payments by check and still receive the discounted tour price. Trip price is based on triple occupancy and includes round trip airfare from New Orleans, point-to point transportation between cities while in Europe, all breakfasts and 4 dinners. Additionally, *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk as well as city tours in Paris, Florence, and Rome are included in the tour price (Louvre, Palace of Versailles, Accademia, Colosseum and Forum, Vatican Museum, St. Peter’s Basilica, Sistine Chapel, and Naples Archaeological Museum). In the unlikely event that EA Tours cancels the tour and is unable to operate a substitute itinerary, the tour cost including the initial deposit is fully refundable. Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price.  A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $585.00. A guaranteed twin room may be available for a supplemental charge of $165.00 per person. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees. If applicable, unforeseen tax increases will be billed on a supplemental invoice. A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour. A $500.00 non-refundable initial deposit is required to reserve your space on this tour. All tour participants must submit an online application. Final payments are due no later than seventy (70) days before departure.
