Paris

March 24 – 28, 2019

On March 23^rd, you will depart from Atlanta and arrive the next day in Paris, France. Upon your arrival to Paris March 24^th, you will enjoy a guided city tour*. The Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, and Place de la Concorde are among a few of the important sights this “City of Light” has to offer. This evening you may choose to ascend the Eiffel Tower and enjoy an opportunity that offers an unparalleled view of Paris by night (free to those who submit their application and deposit by the deadline). March 25^th will be defined by a sojourn to the Louvre*, home to some of humanity’s greatest artistic masterpieces including the Venus de Milo, Winged Victory and Mona Lisa. In the afternoon, you may wish to visit other museums and churches of choice such as the Musee d’ Orsay, Pompidou, Sainte-Chapelle and more. On March 26^th, an excursion is planned outside of Paris to the Palace of Versailles*, once the home of King Louis XIV, the “Sun King”, it now serves as a testament to that era’s rich cultural heritage and aristocratic power. Upon your return to Paris this afternoon, you will enjoy a Seine River Cruise*. March 27^th will be dedicated for sightseeing with your tour leader. You will see sites such as Notre Dame, Sacré-Cœur, Montmartre, the Latin Quarter and much more. Your time in Paris ends as you travel to Rome by plane* the morning of March 28^th.

 

Rome

March 28 – 31, 2019

March 28^th, you will board a plane to Rome. Upon your arrival, you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the city*, including a visit to the Colosseum and Forum* after checking into your Rome hotel. Begin March 29^th with a guided visit to the Vatican Museums* including St. Peter’s Basilica* and the Sistine Chapel*. Spend this evening exploring area points of interest with your tour leader such as the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and much more. A highlight of your time in Italy will be an excursion planned on March 30^th to explore along Via Appia Antica, Rome’s ancient road. Here, you will enjoy a guided bike tour*, visit the Catacombs* and culminate your day with a visit to the Gladiator School*. You will return to Rome this evening for your farewell dinner*. On March 31^st, you will board a plane bound for home with souvenirs, fond memories, and amazing experiences in tow marking the end of your European adventure.
