On April 13th, you will depart New Orleans on a flight bound for our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. Your private motor coach and tour leader will meet you on arrival at the airport. After lunch, you will traverse Arlington National Cemetery* by tram. Arlington is the final resting place for countless American heroes. Here, witness the solemn Changing of the Guards Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Later, you will experience a humbling visit to the Holocaust Museum*, both a touching and vivid reminder of those who were persecuted and a supplication against such inhumanity. Dinner tonight will be followed by free time for shopping at Union Station before arriving at your hotel.

This morning, you will visit many of the memorials* dedicated to the pride and sacrifice of the American people including the: Lincoln, Vietnam, Korean and WWII Memorials. Afterwards, you will visit the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum*. A tour of one of the seats of power in our nation, the US Capitol Building*, is planned after lunch. The Senate and the House of Representatives have met at the Capitol for over 200 years. You will then enjoy exploring the National Archives* where you will view some of the most important documents in our nation’s history including The Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and Constitution. Later, a visit to Ford’s Theatre* will showcase our 16th President Abraham Lincoln’s presidency, assassination, and legacy. Dinner tonight is at Hard Rock Café* followed by an Illumination Tour of Memorials MLK, JR, FDR, and Jefferson*.

Begin today with a White House Photo Opportunity followed by your choice of Smithsonian Museums*. There are more than 137 million objects, works of art and specimens at the Smithsonian Museums and Galleries, so there is something for everyone. After lunch, tackle your inner James Bond at the International Spy Museum*. The Museum is home to the largest collection of international espionage artifacts ever placed on public display. This evening will be dedicated to enjoying dinner and bowling at one of DC’s favorite bowling* venues.

This morning, you will enjoy the view at the Washington Monument Pavilion before departing to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center/National Air and Space Museum*. After lunch, you will enjoy a few last minutes of sightseeing before you depart for home on April 16th, taking along with you memories, souvenirs, and a deeper pride and appreciation for American History.
SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The tour price of $1,299 is based on 30 or more paying tour participants traveling together on the itinerary as outlined. The tour price is based on four persons to a room and includes roundtrip airline transportation (subject to confirmation) from New Orleans, hotel, 3 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 3 dinners, sightseeing, entrance fees if required and motor-coach transportation, where applicable. Sightseeing visits INCLUDE guide and entrance fees (if applicable) to the Arlington National Cemetery (including tram), Smithsonian Museums, Capitol Tour, National Archives, Memorial Tours, Newseum, Ford’s Theatre and Petersen House, International Spy Museum, and the National Air and Space Museum /Steven F.
