Sunday, May 20^th

This afternoon, you will depart Macon, Georgia for your coach ride to begin you Patriotic Adventure in Washington, D.C.! Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel.

 

Monday, May 21^st

This morning, you will begin your exciting Patriotic Adventure with a visit to Arlington National Cemetery*, resting place for so many American heroes. Here you can witness Kennedy’s eternal flame and the solemn Changing of the Guard Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. From there, you will stop at the National Gallery of Art and Sculpture Garden. After lunch, you will enjoy a guided tour of the U.S. Capitol*, home to the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, and where your Capitol group photo* will be taken. From there, you will continue on to the famous Dulles Air and Space Museum/Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center*. Following dinner at Jimmy’s Old Town*, you will return to your hotel.

 

Tuesday, May 22^nd

Following breakfast, you will stop for a Photo Opportunity in front of the White House before continuing to a humbling visit to the Holocaust Museum*, both a touching and vivid reminder of those who were persecuted and a supplication against such inhumanity. After lunch, this afternoon takes you to the Smithsonian Museums*; including the National Air and Space, Natural History and American History. Afterwards, you will enjoy the famous International Spy Museum* followed by time for souvenir shopping. Dinner tonight will be at the Hard Rock Café*.

 

Wednesday, May 23^rd

After breakfast, you will explore the Smithsonian National Zoo followed by a visit to the National Archives*, home to the Declaration of Independence and other historic documents. After lunch, you will continue your adventure with a tour of Mount Vernon, home to our nation’s first President, George Washington! Dinner will be followed by a Lighted Tour of the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, and Jefferson Memorial before returning to your hotel this evening before returning to your hotel.

 

Thursday, May 24^th

Following breakfast, you will depart your hotel for home, bringing with you fantastic memories and a deeper pride and appreciation for American History.
