PARIS
May 31 – June 3
Paris, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, awaits your arrival on May 31st. A guided panoramic city tour is planned as you travel from the airport to your hotel. You will view such famous landmarks as the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, Notre Dame and Place de la Concord. The highlight of June 1st will be a trip outside of Paris to Versailles* home to Louis XIV, the Sun King, upon return to Paris an optional ascent of the Eiffel Tower is planned (free to those who register and pay the deposit by the due date). The Louvre* (world’s largest art museum), housing such legends as the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory and the Mona Lisa will be your destination on June 2nd. Later that day, dedicate time discovering such sights as Sacre Coeur, Montmartre and Place du Tertre with your tour leader. This evening you will see the “City of Lights” aboard a Seine River Cruise*. The following morning you will board your train to Toulouse.
TOULOUSE
June 3 – 5
Toulouse is the fourth largest city and the most important town in southwest France. The rose-brick Old Town is a wonderful place to walk, try regional cuisine and see two striking cathedrals. Upon arrival on June 3rd, you will begin to enjoy this lovely city with a guided city tour. Tentatively you will visit with host families later this day and on June 4th. In the late afternoon of the 4th you will attend a cooking class*. You may not come away “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” like Julia Child, but you will get to experience learning basic French cooking and tasting your creations.
CARCASSONNE
June 5 – 6
A morning train will take you to Carcassonne on June 5th. The citadel of Carcassonne is a perfectly restored medieval town containing a fortress, Chateau Comtal*, within a fortress. The chateau has a moat, five towers and defensive galleries on the walls. While touring in Carcassonne you will visit the Basilique St Nazaire, the ramparts, Bishop’s Tower and Musee Lapidaire. On June 6th you will continue to Barcelona with a stop en-route at Queribus*, one of the Cathar castle ruins from the Middle Ages. The Cathars were a religious group that took refuge in these mountain top castles in an attempt to protect themselves from the crusaders in the 13th century.
BARCELONA

Barcelona boasts an amazing collection of Art Nouveau buildings. This style, Modernisme, became popular after 1854. On June 7th you will be amazed by Antoni Gaudi’s designs as you visit Casa Mila*, Parc Guell* and the unforgettable La Sagrada Familia*, Europe’s most unconventional church. This church begun in 1882 is still receiving its final touches. Other points of interest that you will see include the Quadrat d’Or, La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter. On June 8th, you will return to the United States, taking with you fond memories of your unforgettable journey!

If you wish to use a credit card for your initial deposit, you will be allowed to pay the remaining payments by check and still receive the discounted tour price. Trip price is based on triple occupancy and includes round trip airfare from Tallahassee, point-to point transportation between cities while in Europe, all breakfasts and 4 dinners. In the unlikely event that EA Tours cancels the tour and is unable to operate a substitute itinerary, the tour cost including the initial deposit is fully refundable. Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price. A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $651.00. A guaranteed twin room may be available for a supplemental charge of $420.00 per person. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges security surcharges and associated fees.
