London

June 2 – 5, 2018

London is a brilliant city which offers pageantry, history, creative arts and some of the planet’s best shopping. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a guided panoramic city tour* of such sites as Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey* and Big Ben. The next day, June 3^rd, will delight you with a visit to the Tower of London* where the beefeaters tell tall tales and you may view the fabulous Crown Jewels. Continued explorations with your tour leader will include such sites as Trafalgar Square, Covent Gardens, the British Museum, the British Library, National Gallery, Piccadilly Circus and much more. This evening you may optionally enjoy magnificent views of London as you board the giant Ferris wheel (the “London Eye”) on the South bank of the Thames River. June 4^th will take you to the mysterious Salisbury Plain where stands Stonehenge*, an ancient arrangement of huge stones and earth that has baffled archaeologists for years. Next visit the medieval city of Salisbury*; enjoy a guided tour of this splendid Gothic sanctuary, which contains 13^th century friezes and Crusaders’ tombs. On June 5^th following your visit to the palatial Hampton Court*, exploring the world of Henry VIII with its magnificent gardens, and the baroque apartments of William and Mary, you will depart London for travel via the Euro Star train to the “City of Light”, Paris.

Paris

June 5 – 10, 2018

Upon arrival to Paris you check into your hotel and enjoy dinner locally. Sightseeing on June 6^th begins with the Louvre* (world’s largest art museum), housing such legends as the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory and the Mona Lisa.  Following your Louvre visit, enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour, viewing such famous landmarks as the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, and the Place de la Concorde. The afternoon takes you to the artists of Montmartre and a visit to Notre Dame Cathedral.  In the evening, enjoy a thrilling ascent of the Eiffel Tower*. On June 7^th, a full-day excursion is planned to Normandy and the D-Day Beaches including a visit to Caen Memorial and Museum*, providing an understanding of what happened during the D-Day invasion of Normandy and how that 100-day period was a major turning point in history. Spread along the shore of the English Channel are the landing beaches of Utah, Omaha and the Pointe du Hoc, where you can imagine allied soldiers scrambling up the cliffs into a hail of lead. Just over these cliffs stand the 9,387 military graves of the American Cemetery and Memorial, which you may visit.  Your adventure continues June 8^th with a morning class of either cooking or art followed by an afternoon for cultural exchange activities. June 9^th begins with an excursion to the Palace of Versailles*, once home to King Louis XIV, the “Sun King”. The Palace and grounds are sure to enchant you with their opulent splendor. This evening a lovely Seine River Dinner Cruise* will delight one and all! There will be ample time for last minute sightseeing, shopping for souvenirs or delighting in Parisian Boulevards and cafes with your tour leader. On June 10^th, you will transfer to the Paris airport for departure on your return flight home, taking with you fond memories of your incredible journey.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **If your online application and $500 deposit is received by June 1, 2017, the tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $4,395.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the standard non-discounted price is $4,495.00. The tour price for applications and deposits received after June 1, 2017, if payments are made by cash or check, is $4,595.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the standard non-discounted price is $4,695.00.  If you wish to use a credit card for your initial deposit, you will be allowed to pay the remaining payments by check and still receive the discounted tour price. Trip price is based on triple occupancy and includes round trip airfare from New Orleans, point-to point transportation between cities while in Europe, all breakfasts 3 dinners. Additionally, *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk as well as city tours in London and Paris are included in the tour price (Westminster Abbey, Tower of London, Stonehenge, Roman Baths, Hampton Court, Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Caen Excursion, Cultural Activity, Versailles, Seine Dinner Cruise (pending availability). In the unlikely event that EA Tours cancels the tour and is unable to operate a substitute itinerary, the tour cost including the initial deposit is fully refundable. Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price.  A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $855.00. A guaranteed twin room may be available for a supplemental charge of $145.00 per person. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges security surcharges, and associated fees. If applicable, unforeseen tax increases will be billed on a supplemental invoice. A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour. A $500.00 non-refundable initial deposit is required to reserve your space on this tour. All tour participants must submit an online application.
