On October 3^rd you will depart the U.S. to begin your Spain adventure, landing in the timeless capital city of Madrid on the 4^th to discover the hidden treasures of this city.  Fantastic excursions, cultural encounters, preserved historical sites, delicious foods and exotic shopping make this trip exciting and rewarding.  Bring these memories home with you on October 15^th.

Madrid

Oct. 4^th – 6^th

Upon arrival in Madrid, the capital and largest city in Spain, you will transfer to your hotel and have free time to explore, rest or shop.  A guided panorama tour of the city* is planned for Oct. 5^th, viewing such famous landmarks as Buen Retiro Park, Puerta del Sol, Plaza de Espana, Parliament, Puerta de Alcala, Paseo de Castellana, Cibeles Fountain as well as inside visits to the Royal Palace* and the Prado Museum* which displays works by Boticelli, Rafael, Rubens, Rembrandt and El Greco.  The remainder of the day is free for personal exploration.

Avila, Salamanca, Lerma and Burgos

Oct. 6^th – 10^th

On Oct. 6^th you depart for Salamanca with an audio guide visit at El Escorial and guided city tour of Avila en-route.  The highlight of Oct. 7^th features a guided city tour* of Salamanca including the University* and Cathedral*.  On Oct. 8^th you will enjoy a full day excursion to Lerma.  Oct. 9^th features an excursion to Burgos where a guided city tour* and free time is planned.  Your destination on Oct. 10^th is San Sebastian.

 San Sebastian

Oct. 10^th – 12^th

A wine tour, lunch and museum visit* is planned at Dinastia Vivanco as you travel to San Sebastian on Oct. 10^th.  A free day in San Sebastian is planned for Oct. 11^th before you depart for an evening Tapas Tour*.  Barcelona is your next overnight destination on Oct. 12^th.

Pamplona and Barcelona

Oct. 12^{th –}  15^th

A Pamplona guided city tour is planned as you travel to Barcelona on Oct. 12^th.  Oct. 13^th begins with free time before your guided city tour* in the afternoon.  Barcelona is a city of broad avenues, striking architecture and lively nightlife, the perfect place to enjoy the famous Catalonian cuisine.  Oct. 14^th is a free day to shop or visit some of the many museums that Barcelona has to offer.  Tomorrow you will bid Barcelona good-bye as you travel home.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $3,885.00.; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the standard non-discounted price is $3,985.00.  If you wish to use a credit card for your initial deposit, you will be allowed to pay the remaining payments by check and still receive the discounted tour price. Trip price is based on twin occupancy and includes point-to point transportation between cities while in Europe and all breakfasts.  Additionally *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk Royal Palace, Prado, El Escorial, University and Cathedral in Salamanca, Dinastia Vivanco and tapas tour as well as city tours in Madrid, Avila, Salamanca, Burgos, Pamplona and Barcelona are included in the tour price.  In the unlikely event that EA Tours cancels the tour and is unable to operate a substitute itinerary, the tour cost including the initial deposit is fully refundable.  Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price.  A guaranteed single room may be available and must be requested in writing.  The single supplemental charge is $1600.00.  A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour.  A $1,000.00 non-refundable initial deposit is required to reserve your space on this tour.  All tour participants must submit an online application.  Please go to “Student/Traveler Sign Up” on the home page at www.EAtours.com.  Your tour number is 218110.  Final payments are due no later than September 1^st.  Updated tour details (hotels, day by day itinerary etc.) are scheduled to be released approximately four weeks prior to departure.  Additional tour conditions apply and are listed in the Tour Conditions Section on the Online Application.
