Sunday, March 5th

This afternoon you will depart Quincy, FL for your overnight motor-coach ride to begin your adventure in Washington D.C.!

Monday, March 6th

This morning you will begin your exciting patriotic adventure with a stop at the Air Force Memorial* for a photo op. Your next stop will be a humbling visit to the Holocaust Museum*. Afterwards a visit to the Smithsonian American History Museum* which offers exhibits like the Star Spangled Banner and The Price of Freedom: Americans at War is planned. After lunch you will enjoy visiting the most majestic structure in Washington D.C., the National Cathedral*. Dinner tonight will be at Union Station.  A highlight this evening will be an illuminated visit to the Vietnam, Lincoln Memorial* and Jefferson Memorials offering a perspective which cannot be seen in daylight.

Tuesday, March 7th

Following breakfast you will visit Arlington National Cemetery*, resting place for so many American heroes.  Here, witness Kennedy’s eternal flame and the solemn Changing of the Guard Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Your tour leader will direct you to the memorials dedicated to the Space Shuttles Columbia and Challenger following the ceremony.  Afterward you will visit The Marine Corps Memorial* before traveling to Capitol Hill for lunch.  Following lunch partake in a guided tour of the Capitol*, which is sure to be a highlight of your afternoon.  The Senate and the House of Representatives have met at the Capitol for over 200 years. You will have time to appreciate the stunning architecture of the Capitol as well as the spirit of the nation and government it represents.  Later today you will enjoy a live performance* (TBA).  Dinner is planned at the Pentagon City Mall.  Afterward, you will have an opportunity to see the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial* before returning to your hotel this evening.

 Wednesday, March 8th

After breakfast at the hotel you stops at the White House for a photo op and Washington Memorial* honoring our 16th President, as well as the WWI Memorial* before viewing the collection at the National Gallery of Art*. This afternoon begins with a visit to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum* which will be a highlight to many. There you will see exhibits of the 1903 Wright Flyer, Lindbergh’s Spirit of St. Louis, Apollo 11’s Command Module, and so much more.  After lunch, you will continue exploring the Smithsonian exhibits with a visit to the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian*.  This evening you will enjoy an evening of ice skating* before dinner tonight!

 Thursday, March 9th

After breakfast you will depart your hotel you will see more of the many memorials dedicated to the pride and sacrifice of the American people, such as the Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorials*. Next you will not want to miss the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History* where you can catch a glimpse of the Hope Diamond which is housed in the Gem and Mineral Collection. After Lunch you will make your final stop before departing for home is at the National Firearms Museum* located at the NRA Headquarters where you can find galleries specifically focused on firearms, freedom and the American experience. After departing Washington D.C., a dinner stop is planned.

Friday, March 10th

This morning you will arrive home bringing with you fantastic memories and a deeper pride and appreciation for American history.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: *The tour price is $997.00 per person, based on four persons to a room and includes motor-coach transportation from Quincy and throughout the trip, 4 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 5 dinners. Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk are included in the tour price, (the Holocaust museum, National Cathedral, Arlington National Cemetery, guided Capitol Tour, Ice Skating, live performance (TBA) National Firearms Museum, War Memorials, Smithsonian Museums of American History, National Air and Space, American Indian and National History), while other items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability, and are not included in the tour price. Please note that all above-mentioned scheduled activities are subject to change or cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e. availability, weather, traffic, etc.). A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour. All tour participants must submit a signed application.
