You will depart on May 16th to spend 11 wonderful days visiting Seattle and embarking on the “Explorer of the Seas” Royal Caribbean cruise ship for an Alaskan Glacier Cruise. Seattle, Washington

May 16th – 19th

On May 16th, your tour begins as you travel to Seattle, situated on Puget Sound against a spectacular mountain backdrop. Upon arrival your private coach will meet you and begin your adventure with a narrated tour of the city* before continuing to your hotel for check in. Known as the “Gateway to Alaska”, Seattle will welcome you with a rich history integrated with modernity. A highlight of your tour will be the Seattle Underground Tour, an exhibit of the city as it existed before the great fire.  On May 17th, you will enjoy visiting renown sites as the Seattle Space Needle*, a 650-foot landmark built for the 1962 World Fair, and St. Mark’s Cathedral*. May 18th is dedicated as a day at leisure to discover such optional sights as the Seattle Great Wheel, Woodland Park Zoo, Rainier Beach, the Seattle Aquarium, numerous Art Galleries, the Museum of History and Industry, shopping in Downtown Seattle, or sampling the local cuisine at the lively Pike Place Market. On May 19th your private coach will transfer you to the Port to embark on your Alaskan Cruise.

May 19th -26th

The afternoon of May 19th will find you on your Royal Caribbean cruise ship, “Explorer of the Seas” to begin your Alaskan Glacier Cruise. May 20th will be spent cruising to your next port. There are many activities on board for you to try such as rock climbing walls, ice skating and mini golf! May 21st will find you entering port at Juneau, Alaska’s capitol city!! While here be sure to enjoy amazing views of the glacial landscape, woodlands and visit a town famous for its gold rush history!! Your next port of call brings you to Skagway on May 22nd! Here you will have a rare opportunity to view a town that was thriving in the Klondike Rush with its restored 19th century buildings and historic railway. Continue cruising about your ship to view the Tracy Arm Fjord on May 23rd. Carved by glacial activity, this fjord offers views of magnificent waterfalls cascading down 3,000 foot walls of granite. On May 24th, you will enjoy at leisure on the ship participating in on board activities with ample time for vocal rehearsals as needed. On May 25th you will arrive at Victoria, capitol of British Columbia. Today you will have time ashore to visit the scenic harbor and explore the historic charm of old town with its rich architecture and numerous beautiful gardens before returning to your ship this evening. On May 26th you will return to port in Seattle and board a plane bound for home with souvenirs, memories, and perhaps a photo or two in tow marking the end of your European adventure.

 

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $1,178.00. Trip price is based on twin/double occupancy and includes round trip airfare from Fort Walton Beach. and point-to point transportation between cities while in Seattle, and all breakfasts while at the hotel in Seattle. Additionally, *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk are included in the tour price (Seattle Space Needle, St. Mark’s Cathedral (pending availability) and a city tour in Seattle including underground tour. In the unlikely event that EA Tours cancels the tour and is unable to operate a substitute itinerary, the tour cost including the initial deposit is fully refundable. Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price.  A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $315.00. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges security surcharges, and associated fees. If applicable, unforeseen tax increases will be billed on a supplemental invoice. A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour. A $250.00 non-refundable initial deposit is required to reserve your space on this tour. All tour participants must submit an online application. The remaining balance will be collected directly from Department Chair, Jeremy Ribando. Final payments are due no later than seventy (70) days before departure. Updated tour details (hotels, day by day itinerary, flights, etc.) are scheduled to be released approximately four weeks prior to departure.
