Featuring Fontainebleau & Versailles

April 18-23, 2017

On your first day in Paris, April 18^th, you will be met by your private coach for a planned excursion to Fontainebleau*, a chateau that boasts continuous use as a residence by the Royal families for eight centuries! The next day, April 19^th, you will enjoy a guided panorama tour of the city* enroute to your hotel, viewing such famous landmarks as the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, and the Place de la Concorde. During your tour you will visit the Louvre* (world’s largest art museum), housing such legends as the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory and the Mona Lisa. In the afternoon you will explore the charm of this city with your tour leader to discover such sights as Notre Dame*, Saint Chappelle*, and much more. Later this evening, you may optionally enjoy a thrilling ascent to the second level of the Eiffel Tower (free to those who submit their application and deposit by the deadline). On April 20^th, an excursion is planned outside of Paris to the Palace of Versailles*, once the home of King Louis XIV, the “Sun King”. Dedicate this afternoon at leisure to discovering such sights as Musee d’Orsay*, Sacre Coeur, Montmartre and Place du Tertre.

April 21^st will begin with a visit to the Paris Opera House*, famous for the legend of the Phantom of the Opera! Time is dedicated this afternoon for sightseeing, shopping for souvenirs or delighting in Parisian Boulevards and cafes. This evening you will enjoy a Seine River Cruise* to enjoy Paris by night! Your last day in Paris for sightseeing, April 22^nd, is dedicated at leisure for last minute exploration with your tour leader to area points of interests including churches, optional museums of your choice, or extra time shopping for last minute souvenirs. On April 23^rd you will return to the United States with fond memories, amazing experiences and perhaps a souvenir or two from your European adventure.

 

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The estimated tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $2,985.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the standard estimated non-discounted price is $3,085.00.  Tour participation is based on twin occupancy and includes roundtrip airfare from New Orleans, point-to point transportation between cities while in France, all breakfasts and 2 dinners. *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk are included in the tour price are the Fontainebleau, Louvre, Notre Dame, Saint Chappelle, Versailles, Musee d’Orsay, Paris Opera House, Seine River Cruise and a city tour in Paris and may be subject to availability. Additional items may be offered optionally, are also subject to availability and are not included in the tour price.  A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $398.00. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees. If applicable, tax increases will be billed on a supplemental invoice. A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour. All tour participants must submit a signed application.  A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is required and will reserve your space on this tour.
