On June 16th you will depart Orlando to begin your Italian adventure, landing in the timeless capital city of Rome on the 17th and discovering the hidden treasures of this city. Fantastic excursions, cultural encounters, preserved historical sites, delicious foods and exotic shopping make this trip exciting and rewarding. We will investigate the responses of travelers and literary icons who have been drawn in by the allure of these cities in the past, and seek out their own answers for why modern-day travelers are still drawn in by their charm. Bring these memories home with you on June 24th.

June 17-20, 2017

Upon arrival in Rome on June 17th you will enjoy a visit to Ostia Antica*, Rome’s ancient seaport, followed by a panoramic city tour* before ending at your hotel for check-in. Spend this evening exploring area points of interest with your tour leader.   On June 18th you will enjoy a guided visit to the Vatican Museums* including St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. This afternoon you may enjoy exploring additional optional sites such as the Colosseum and Forum, Capitoline Museum, or visiting churches such as St. Pietro in Vincoli or Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. June 19th is dedicated to exploring Rome with your tour leader to include such sights as the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and much more before departing to Florence the next morning.


June 20- 22, 2017

Continue your adventure to Florence on June 20th. As birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence will thrill you with its treasures. After checking in to your hotel you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the city* where you will see many of the important sights of this historic town including the Academia*, home to Michelangelo’s “David”, Santa Maria Novella, the Duomo, and the eight-sided Baptistry.   June 21st is planned for exploration of this fantastic city with your tour leader. Today you may wish to optionally visit the Uffizi Gallery, Italy’s greatest art gallery or the Bargello Museum, Florence’s second-ranking museum, which houses Italy’s finest collection of Renaissance sculpture. Other highlights may include visiting the Boboli Gardens, shopping in the straw market and open-air market, visiting a leather factory or strolling across the Ponte-Vecchio to see the gold and silver shops.


June 22-24, 2017

On June 22nd you will continue your journey to Venice. This afternoon you will explore the charm of this city with a guided city tour* including the Doges Palace*. June 23rd is dedicated to discovering area points of interest with your tour leader including optional sights such as the Peggy Guggenheim Museum, or perhaps taking time to relax with a Gondola ride through Venice’s historic canals (free to those who submit their application and deposit by the deadline). On June 24th you will bid farewell to the charm of Italy and return home, taking with you fond memories of your incredible journey.

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $3,996.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the standard non-discounted price is $4,096.00.  If you wish to use a credit card for your initial deposit, you will be allowed to pay the remaining payments by check and still receive the discounted tour price. Trip price is based on twin occupancy and includes round trip airfare from Orlando. and point-to point transportation between cities while in Europe, and all breakfasts. Additionally, *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk as well as city tours in Rome, Florence and Venice are included in the tour price (Ostia Antica, Vatican Museums, Academia, Doge’s Palace (pending availability). In the unlikely event that EA Tours cancels the tour and is unable to operate a substitute itinerary, the tour cost including the initial deposit is fully refundable. Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price.  A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $445.00. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges security surcharges, and associated fees. If applicable, unforeseen tax increases will be billed on a supplemental invoice. A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour. A $500.00 non-refundable initial deposit is required to reserve your space on this tour. All tour participants must submit an online application.
