    Amsterdam

May 12-14, 2017

Built on a network of centuries-old canals, Amsterdam is a delightful city. The largest and most cosmopolitan city of the Netherlands, it is also the diamond-cutting capital of the world. Upon arrival on May 12th you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the city* after checking into your hotel including a visit to the Anne Frank House*. The home is where Anne Frank took refuge during the Nazi invasion of World War II and wrote her famous diary. The next morning, May 13th, explore Amsterdam’s incredible museums including the Rijksmuseum* considered one of the top three art museums in the world and home to Rembrandt’s “Nightwatch”. Later you will visit the Van Gogh Museum*. The museum’s collection is the largest collection of Van Gogh’s paintings and drawings in the world. This evening you may optionally wish to enjoy a scenic canal cruise which offers fabulous views of this lovely area, (complimentary to those who submit their application and deposit by the deadline). On May 14th dedicate time to discovering such fascinating sights as the Flower Market, Dam Square and Rembrandt Square or simply enjoying the ambience of this beautiful city known as “the Venice of the North” before departing to Paris on your afternoon train!

Paris

May 14-18, 2017

Upon arrival on May 14th you will enjoy dinner after checking into your hotel. The next day, May 15th you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the city* viewing such famous landmarks as the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, and the Place de la Concorde including a visit to the Louvre* (world’s largest art museum), housing such legends as the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory and the Mona Lisa. This afternoon you may ponder the “Thinker” or peer at the “Gates of Hell” when you visit the Rodin Museum*. This evening, enjoy a thrilling ascent of the Eiffel Tower*. The next morning, May 16th, a visit is planned to the Musee d’ Orsay*, which showcases the largest collection of impressionist and post-impressionist masterpieces in the world. Later this afternoon you may wish to dedicate time discovering such sights as Sacre Coeur, Notre Dame, Montmartre and Place du Tertre. May 17th begins with an excursion to the Palace of Versailles*, once home to King Louis XIV, the “Sun King”. The Palace and grounds are sure to enchant you with their opulent splendor. Upon returning to Paris this afternoon, there will be time for last minute sightseeing, shopping for souvenirs or delighting in Parisian Boulevards and cafes before your Seine River Cruise and Farewell Dinner*. The following morning, May 18th, you will return to the United States with fond memories, amazing experiences and perhaps a souvenir or two from your European adventure.

Trip price is based on triple occupancy and includes round trip airfare from Charleston, point-to point transportation between cities while in Europe, all breakfasts and 3 dinners. Additionally, *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk as well as city tours in Amsterdam and Paris are included in the tour price (Anne Frank House, Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Musee d’Orsay, Rodin Museum, Versailles (pending availability). In the unlikely event that EA Tours cancels the tour and is unable to operate a substitute itinerary, the tour cost including the initial deposit is fully refundable. Additional items may be offered optionally, are subject to availability and are not included in the tour price.  A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $185.00. A guaranteed twin room may be available for a supplemental charge of $585.00 per person. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges security surcharges, and associated fees. If applicable, unforeseen tax increases will be billed on a supplemental invoice. A minimum number of paying participants may be required to operate the tour.
