The Ursuline Safari

On March 19, 2016 you will depart New York for South Africa for a home-stay program in Johannesburg.  Included in the trip will be a4 day/ 3 night Safari in Krugar Park – all Conservation fees are included.  You will return to New York departing on March 30 and arrive early morning March 31.

Safari program  March 25  You will be picked up in Johannesburg and transferred via the scenic route to Kruger Park.  En-route you will visit Pilgrim’s Rest, God’s Window and the Graskop Falls.  Upon arrival to your hotel and following check-in you depart to Kruger National Park.  At 4:30 PM you will begin a night game drive in a 4 x 4 Safari vehicle.  The night drive allows you to enjoy the African night life and spot night animals that you would not see during the day.  You return to the hotel for dinner.

March 26  Early in the morning you begin a full day game drive.  Your professional field guide will ensure that you see the wildlife that Kruger Park is renowned for.  Breakfast will be served at one of the Kruger Park camps.  You return to camp in the late afternoon.  Dinner is included at the hotel.

March 27  You depart early for a full day game drive.  Hopefully, you will complete your “spotting-list” of the Big Five – leopard, rhinoceros, lion, elephant and cape buffalo.  Breakfast is in the park again, and you return to camp in the late afternoon.  Dinner is included at the hotel.

March 28  Again your day begins with an early morning game drive.  You will return to the hotel for breakfast and then board your bus for return to Johannesburg.

Please note:  Foreigners who wish to visit South Africa must have passports/travel documents valid for thirty more days after the intended return date from South Africa.  The passport must contain at least two unused pages labeled Visa when presented aat the Embassy or Consulate; one page is for affixing the visa or permit at the Embassy/ Consulate and the other page is for endorsement of entry/departure stamp by the South African Immigration Services.
