Amsterdam

April 24^th

Built on a network of centuries-old canals, Amsterdam is a delightful city. The largest and most cosmopolitan city of the Netherlands, Amsterdam is also the diamond-cutting capital of the world. Upon arrival you will enjoy a guided tour* of the city including a visit to the Anne Frank House*, where Anne Frank took refuge during the Nazi invasion of World War II and wrote her famous diary, before checking into your hotel. Spend this evening at leisure exploring with your tour leader after dinner.

 April 25^th

This morning you will visit the Rijksmuseum*, considered one of the top three art museums in the world and home to Rembrandt’s “Nightwatch”. This afternoon you may optionally wish to visit the Van Gogh Museum; this museum’s collection is the largest collection of Van Gogh’s paintings and drawings in the world.  Afterwards dedicate time to discovering such fascinating sights as the Flower Market, Dam Square and Rembrandt Square or to some last minute sightseeing, shopping, strolling through Vondelpark, or simply enjoying the ambience of this beautiful city known as “the Venice of the North”. This evening you may optionally wish to enjoy a scenic canal cruise (free to those who submit their application and deposit by the deadline).

 April 26^th

Dedicate today for an excursion to Zanse Schans* to marvel at this scenic windmill village. This afternoon you will continue to Volendam*, a picturesque beach community, for sightseeing before returning to Amsterdam. Spend this evening at leisure exploring with your tour leader.

 

   Rome

 April 27^th

This morning you will transfer to the airport for your flight to Rome. Upon arrival you will enjoy a visit to Ostia Antica*, Rome’s ancient seaport, en-route to your hotel for check-in. Spend this evening exploring area points of interest.

April 28^th

Today you will enjoy a guided tour of the city* beginning with the Colosseum and Forum*. After a break for lunch on your own, your tour will culminate with exploring sights such as Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and much more. Spend this evening at leisure exploring with your tour leader to such sights as the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.

April 29^th

Today you will enjoy an excursion to Florence*! Upon arrival, a guided tour of the city including a visit to the Academia* is planned. Later this afternoon dedicate time for visiting the leather and straw markets and the famous gold and silver shops along the Ponte Vecchio before returning to Rome that evening.

April 30^th

Begin today with a guided visit to the Vatican Museums* including St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. This afternoon a visit is planned to the Borghese Gallery*. Dedicate your last evening in Rome with time at leisure for last minute sightseeing and shopping for souvenirs. Your Farewell Dinner is included this evening.

May 1^st

You will depart Rome for your flight back to the United States, taking with you unforgettable memories of your journey.

 SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS: **The tour price, if payments are made by cash or check, is $3,995.00; otherwise, if paying by credit card, the standard non-discounted price is $4,095.00. Tour participation is based on triple occupancy and includes roundtrip airfare from Syracuse, point-to point transportation between cities while in Europe, all breakfasts and 4 dinners.  *Entrance fees and/or transportation marked with an asterisk are included in the tour price (the Rijks Museum, Anne Frank House, Zanse Schans, Volendam, Ostia Antica, Vatican Museums, St. Peter’s Basilica, Sistine Chapel, Colosseum and Forum, Borghese Gallery, Academia in Florence and city tours in Amsterdam, Rome, and Florence) and may be subject to availability. Additional items may be offered optionally, are also subject to availability and are not included in the tour price.  A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $565.00. A guaranteed twin room may be available for a supplemental charge of $285.00 per person. Included are the estimated applicable governmental international airline ticket taxes, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, and associated fees.
