Friday, June 12^th

Today you depart the United States on your overnight flight to Europe.  Naturally, meals will be served and optional in-flight entertainment will be offered.  Please refer to your flight schedule for pertinent details.

 

Saturday, June 13^th

Upon arrival to Rome you will be met and transferred to Sorrento.  Dinner tonight is included at your hotel.

 

Sunday, June 14^th

At 9:00 am you depart the hotel for your preferred guided visit to Pompeii or Herculaneum.  Following your tour you will return to Sorrento to enjoy this beautiful seaside town or perhaps relax at the SkyBar Terrace at the hotel.

 

Monday, June 15^th

Today is a free day.  You may optionally wish to visit nearby Isle of Capri (free to those who registered by the due date).

Tuesday, June 16^th

This morning you bid Sorrento goodbye and drive along the Amalfi Coast to Salerno.  A stop is planned in Positano.  The experience of narrow roads, sheer cliffs, beautiful Mediterranean views and quaint villages will amaze you.

 

Wednesday, June 17^th

Today you depart at 9:00 am for a guided visit to Paestum.  Following your tour you will be dropped at the Salerno train station where you depart at 2:24 pm for Sicily.  Be sure to

purchase lunch and snacks at the train station to take with you as you do not arrive to Taormina until 8:44 pm. Food is usually available for purchase on the train, but the selection is limited.   Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.

 

Thursday, June 18^th

Today you will experience a trip to nearby Mt Etna, one of the world’s largest active volcanos.  Be sure to take your camera for some great pictures.  Dinner tonight is included near the hotel.

 

Friday, June 19^th

A full day excursion to Siracusa for a guided tour and wine tasting lunch is planned.  This area abounds in good food and excellent wine as well as many points of interest.

 

Saturday, June 20^th

At 9:00 am you depart your hotel for transfer to Catania Airport.  At 12:00 noon your flight departs for Rome.  Upon arrival you will be met and begin your guided city tour including San Pietro in Vincoli and Santa Maria Maggiore  before arriving at your hotel located just steps away from Piazza Navona.

 

 

Sunday, June 21^st

Today is a free day in Rome.  Please see your tour leader for suggestions and assistance.  Tonight you have a farewell dinner scheduled for 7:00 pm.  Sometime today you will want to toss a coin in the Trevi Fountain – said to ensure a return trip to Rome.

Monday, June 22^nd

A very early departure at 4:00 am is scheduled for your transfer to Rome Fiumicino Airport and your return flights home.  Please refer to your slight schedule for details.
