San Francisco

March 22 – March 26

Cable cars, Lombard Street, Nob Hill, Union Square, Fisherman’s Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge…are but a few of the sites you will see during your San Francisco journey.  March 22nd marks your arrival in this metropolitan city.  Because the SFMOMA is closed for renovation, you will visit the Legion of Honor* Fine Arts Museum.  In addition to the exhibits housed at the Legion of Honor, Matisse (paintings, drawings and bronzes from the artist, Henri Matisse) from SFMOMA has been moved there to be showcased during their renovation.  You will explore this city in more depth on a 4-hour guided tour* on March 23rd.  Afterward you will experience a tour of Alcatraz Island*.  It is home to an abandoned military and federal prison and site of the oldest operating lighthouse on the west coast and is often referred to as “The Rock.”  On March 24th you will take a wine country tour* including a simple lunch.  The last morning in San Francisco, March 25th, will take you to Mission Dolores* (Mission San Francisco de Assisi), the oldest intact building in the city.  On March 26th you will depart San Francisco for Los Angeles on a coastal Amtrak train.

Los Angeles (Hollywood)

March 26 – March 29

Nicknamed the City of Angels, Los Angeles is a global city with strengths in more than just entertainment, tourism, fashion and sports.  Once you arrive on March 26th you will transfer immediately to your hotel.  On March 27th you will have an opportunity to hop on/off* at many different stops to see the highlights of Hollywood.  Some of the stops include:  Rodeo Drive, Sunset Strip, Hollywood Sign, Hollywood Walk of Fame and Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, to name a few.  A Hollywood Movie Stars Homes Tour* is on the itinerary for March 28th.  A tour of Kodak Theatre* and entrance to the Hollywood Museum* will fill your time before departure on March 29th. You will return to Miami, FL on March 29th, bringing home great memories and wondrous new experiences.

 

SPECIAL TOUR CONDITIONS:  *The discounted tour price, applicable when paying with check or cash, is $2,099.00; otherwise, the standard non-discounted tour price, applicable when paying with credit card, is $2,199.00, and is based on four persons to a room and includes round-trip airfare from Miami, airport and necessary transfers while on the tour, all breakfasts and 6 dinners (one dinner not included while on the train on March 26th.  Sightseeing as indicated including: Legion of Honor, Alcatraz, Wine Country tour, San Francisco tour, Mission Dolores, Hollywood Hop on/off, Movie Stars’ Homes tour, Kodak Theatre tour and the Hollywood Museum.    Please note that all above-mentioned scheduled activities are subject to change or cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e. availability, weather, traffic, etc.).  A guaranteed triple room may be available for a supplemental charge of $100 per person.  A guaranteed double room may be available for a supplemental charge of $290 per person.   A guaranteed single room may be available for a supplemental charge of $875.  The applicable tour conditions are listed on the enclosed application, you may either sign and return the application with a $500 non-refundable deposit by November 15, 2013 to be eligible for the trip, or, you can visit the “student login” page on our website at  www.EAtours.com.  The tour number for your group is 214213.  A 2nd payment of $1000 will be due December 15th and the final balance will be due January 11th.
