Amsterdam
May 11th – May 13th
Built on a network of centuries-old canals, Amsterdam is a delightful city. The largest and most cosmopolitan city of the Netherlands, it is also the diamond-cutting capital of the world. The afternoon of your arrival you will enjoy discovering area points of interest during your guided city tour*. Two pertinent business appointments have been arranged with local businesses to visit the Flower Auction and Market and the Heineken International marketing division while in Amsterdam. One afternoon you will enjoy a guided visit to the Rijksmuseum*, considered one of the top three art museums in the world and home to Rembrandt’s Nightwatch. While in Amsterdam you will also enjoy a visit to the Van Gogh Museum*. Time permitting; during your time at leisure, you might want to stop in a specialty shop where you will find Dutch cheeses, chocolate, and traditional wooden clogs. On the 13th you will depart Amsterdam to continue your journey to Paris.
Paris
May 13th – May 16th
On arrival in Paris, you will be met by your private coach for transfer to your hotel. Paris waits to greet you with such famous landmarks as the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, and the Place de la Concorde. Special pertinent business appointments are scheduled during your time in Paris including visits to the Paris Opera and major retail/fashion stores such as Printemps or Galleries Lafayette. The next afternoon following your business appointment you will visit the Louvre* (world’s largest art museum), housing such legends as the Venus de Milo, the Winged Victory and the Mona Lisa. Later today, dedicate time discovering such sights as Sacre Coeur, Notre Dame, Montmartre and Place du Tertre. This evening, perhaps enjoy a thrilling ascent of the Eiffel Tower (complimentary to those who submit their application and deposit by October 25, 2013). While in Paris, a visit is planned to the Musee d’ Orsay*, which showcases the Impressionists’ collection. Later this afternoon you will have time for last minute sightseeing or shopping for souvenirs or delighting in Parisian Boulevards and cafes with your tour leader. Your final evening you may wish to enjoy a Seine River Cruise (complimentary to those who submit their application and deposit by the deadline) to mark your last evening in this enigmatic city. May 16th you will bid Paris adieu as you travel to Venice.
Venice
May 16th – May 18th
Venice is the next stop on your European journey. Upon arrival you will transfer to your hotel for check in. The next morning, embark on a guided city tour* of this amazing floating city. With 118 islands, 160 canals and 400 bridges, this seaside outpost offers all kinds of incredibly unique experiences. In your free time you may wish to walk through St. Mark’s square, gaze upon the massive Bell Tower, explore the mysteries of the Doge’s Palace or enjoy a gondola ride. An important pertinent business meeting is scheduled during your Venice retreat to visit a Venetian glass Factory. Following your business appointment a visit is planned to the Guggenheim Museum*. May 18th you will return to the United States with fond memories, amazing experiences and perhaps a souvenir or two from your European adventure.
