Rice/Highlights of France
Saturday, April 5th
Today you depart the United States on your overnight flight to Paris.
Sunday, April 6th
Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day will be spent exploring the “City of Light” with Carol Rice.
Monday, April 7th
Today is a day of options. Some in the group will be visiting Normandy, the Peace Museum in Caen and the D-Day beaches. The rest of the group will want to shop, visit museums and points of interest in Paris.
Tuesday, April 8th
At 9:00 am you will meet your guide at Ile de la Cite for a full day of Paris sightseeing that includes St. Chapelle, Notre Dame, the Latin Quarter and St Germain. Points of interest will include St. Sulpice, Shakespeare & Co, the Pantheon and Les Deux Magots. You finish with the tour at the Arc de Triomphe.
Wednesday, April 9th
At 8:15 am you depart Paris for a full day excursion to Giverny and Malmaison. In the evening you will enjoy a Seine River Cruise.
Thursday, April 10th
At 8:00 am you depart your hotel for transfer to Paris Montparnasse where you board your train to Toulouse. Upon arrival you will be met and enjoy a guided panoramic tour en-route to your hotel.
Friday, April 11th
A 9:00 am departure is planned as you travel from Toulouse to Carcassonne. A guided visit to Albi and the Toulouse Lautrec Museum is planned en-route. Upon arrival to Carcassonne you will experience a guided tour of the walled city.
Saturday, April 12th
Today is free to enjoy the Chateau Comtal and surrounding area.
Sunday, April 13th
Today you transfer to Saint Remy de Provence. En-route you will stop at Pont du Gard and a short visit to the museum.
Monday, April 14th
At 9:00 am you travel to Avignon where you will be met by your guide for a city tour and Papal Palace visit. You will return to St Remy in the early afternoon.
Tuesday, April 15th
Highlights of today are guided visits in Les Baux and Arles.
Wednesday, April 16th
At 9:00 am you transfer to Antibes with a guided visit at Aix en Provence and free lunch time before arriving at your hotel.
Thursday, April 17th
8:30 am depart your hotel for guided visits in St. Paul de Vence, the Matisse Chapel, a short stop at the perfume factory in Grasse, the Chagall Museum in Nice and a Nice city tour. This will be a full day.
Friday, April 18th
Free day in Antibes. Suggestions include shopping, visit the market and see the Picasso Museum.
Saturday, April 19th
8:30 am departure for Nice Airport and your return flight home.
